ideazmeet is seeking a Senior Sourcing Engineer in Hyderabad, India (with travel to manufacturing facilities) to independently manage complex sourcing projects, develop suppliers and ensure successful technical, commercial and operational outcomes.

This hands-on role requires strong manufacturing knowledge, commercial judgment and the ability to manage projects from supplier identification through production readiness and delivery.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Production, Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering, or equivalent relevant experience.
• 7–12 years of experience in technical sourcing, strategic procurement, supplier development or industrial manufacturing.
• Strong understanding of CNC machining, castings, forgings, fabrication, hydraulics or engineered assemblies.
• Ability to interpret complex engineering drawings, GD&T, BOMs and material specifications.
• Hands-on experience in supplier capability assessment, factory evaluations and manufacturing quality.
• Working knowledge of dimensional inspection, quality control processes, inspection instruments and supplier quality documentation.
• Demonstrated experience in technical-commercial negotiations, manufacturing cost analysis and supplier development.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication and stakeholder-management skills.
• Ability to independently manage sourcing projects and guide junior team members.
• Willingness to travel across India for supplier development, factory assessments and quality inspections.

Responsabilidades

• End-to-End Technical & Strategic Sourcing: Independently manage sourcing requirements from technical evaluation through supplier selection and production readiness.
• Analyze complex engineering drawings, BOMs, manufacturing processes and material specifications.
• Lead supplier identification, RFQ evaluation, technical discussions and commercial negotiations.
• Identify cost optimization opportunities, alternative sourcing strategies and manufacturing feasibility improvements.
• Identify, evaluate and develop manufacturing partners across key industrial categories.
• Conduct factory visits and assess manufacturing infrastructure, process capabilities, capacity, production systems and quality readiness.
• Evaluate supplier suitability for complex and recurring manufacturing requirements.
• Develop long-term supplier partnerships aligned with customer expectations.
• Manufacturing Quality & Inspection: Conduct factory assessments, production reviews and routine in-process, sample and pre-dispatch inspections.
• Evaluate manufacturing processes, workmanship, dimensional conformity and adherence to customer specifications.
• Review inspection plans, sample reports, material certificates and supplier quality documentation.
• Identify manufacturing defects, process risks and quality deviations.
• Coordinate root-cause analysis, corrective actions and quality improvements with suppliers and quality teams.
• Support first article inspections, customer quality reviews and specialized audits in collaboration with the Supplier Quality Engineer.
• Guide junior sourcing engineers in practical quality inspection and supplier assessment activities.
• Escalate critical quality issues and ensure required approvals are obtained before product release.
• Cost Engineering & Commercial Negotiations: Evaluate manufacturing costs, material costs, tooling requirements, production processes and commercial proposals.
• Develop detailed cost comparisons and identify cost reduction opportunities.
• Lead negotiations on pricing, lead times, production capacity and commercial terms.
• Support value engineering, design-to-cost and manufacturing optimization initiatives.
• Project Execution & Stakeholder Management: Take ownership of technical and commercial outcomes for assigned sourcing projects.
• Coordinate sample development, tooling, production readiness and supplier deliveries.
• Work with customers, manufacturing suppliers, quality teams and operations personnel.
• Identify and mitigate technical, quality, commercial and supply chain risks.
• Maintain timely customer communication, project reporting and issue resolution.
• Mentor junior sourcing engineers and support their technical development.
• Develop sourcing methodologies, inspection checklists and supplier evaluation frameworks.
• Contribute to expanding ideazmeet's qualified manufacturing supplier network.
• Drive improvements in sourcing efficiency, supplier quality, cost competitiveness and execution reliability.

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Sourcing Engineer to independently manage complex industrial sourcing projects, develop manufacturing suppliers and ensure successful technical, commercial and operational outcomes.

This is a hands-on role requiring strong manufacturing knowledge, commercial judgment and the ability to manage projects from supplier identification through production readiness and delivery.

You will also play an important role in developing sourcing processes, guiding junior team members and building ideazmeet's supplier ecosystem.

We are looking for a self-driven professional who can take complete ownership of assignments, make sound decisions and deliver results in a fast-paced startup environment.

Key Responsibilities

1. End-to-End Technical & Strategic Sourcing

• Independently manage sourcing requirements from technical evaluation through supplier selection and production readiness.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Experience in new product introduction, localization, supplier quality improvement or cost reduction programs.
• Prior experience in manufacturing engineering, production engineering or supplier quality.
