Overview & Key Responsibilities
Our company is seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to join as a Sourcing Senior Engineer on the TechOps, Supply Chain team. The successful candidate will support strategic sourcing and supplier management processes, including bid development and analysis, contract negotiations, PO and contract management, and supplier support.
The Sourcing Senior Engineer must work efficiently and communicate effectively with suppliers to ensure contracts move through the sourcing process quickly; validate contract pricing, entitlements, and performance requirements in agreements; capture these into the Delta system; and ensure process documentation and contract summaries flow to business unit stakeholders after contract execution. This role works closely with the TechOps Supply Chain team and internal stakeholders to support critical operational requirements and drive internal process improvements.
Key Responsibilities
- Sourcing Analytics: Prepare data comparisons to establish cost impact of sourcing options as part of the strategic sourcing process and work with sourcing managers to support award recommendations based on data analysis and commercial considerations.
- Support RFP development and analysis, total cost of ownership (TCO) modeling, PMA and OOPP quote analysis.
- Analyze spend and contract data to identify potential cost savings opportunities.
- Contract Negotiations: Negotiate and execute a range of agreements, including NDAs, license agreements, contract renewals, and amendments.
- Collaborate with Business Units, Sourcing Managers, and Delta Legal to ensure terms and conditions align with Delta standards and business objectives.
- PO and Contract Management: Responsible for end-to-end contract management support, including routing contract approvals, developing and maintaining Outline Agreements (OAs) and Purchase Orders (POs).
- Manage catalog pricing reviews and contract escalation validations to ensure alignment with contract terms and accurate updates reflected in Delta’s pricing systems.
- Manage the contract implementation process with business partners to ensure compliance and value capture via contract summaries.
- Supplier Support: Facilitate supplier setup and update requests within APEX; work with business units and suppliers to provide operational support.
- Provide as‑needed support to operational business units for supplier performance issues, including AOG and chronically late deliveries.
- Facilitate supplier profile changes (e.g., banking, address) and approval management within APEX.
- Work with business units and suppliers to resolve invoice discrepancies and late payment issues.
What You Need To Succeed (Minimum Qualifications)
- 6–10 years of experience in sourcing, including contract negotiations and data analytics, preferably in Supply Chain, Finance, or related fields.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Finance, Engineering, or related fields; an MBA is a plus.
- Experience with the strategic sourcing process and reading, interpreting, and negotiating contracts.
- Strong critical thinking skills and ability to multi‑task and re‑prioritize in a fluid, demanding environment.
- Proven ability to build relationships and think strategically, including skills in communication, project management, negotiations, consensus building, presentation, and leading meetings.
- Demonstrated ability to lead projects and manage cross‑departmental projects and stakeholders.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
