Job summary

Merck Group in Bengaluru, India invites a sourcing professional to own end-to-end procurement for assigned categories, identify and onboard new suppliers, and negotiation, RFQ/RFP management, and performance reviews. You will build strong vendor relationships and implement cost-saving initiatives.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of relevant experience with Supply Chain - Sourcing.
• Experience with RFQ/RFP processes and bid analysis.
• Proficiency with SAP/ERP or similar procurement platforms.
• Knowledge of supplier audit, qualification, and performance measurement methodologies.
• Excellent cross-functional collaboration and communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• End-to-end sourcing activities for assigned categories/products.
• Identify, evaluate, and onboard new suppliers/vendors.
• Issue and manage RFQs/RFPs; analyze quotations from commercial and technical perspectives.
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, lead times, MOQ, and contract terms with vendors.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders (engineering, quality, planning, operations) to align sourcing requirements and ensure project success.
• Maintain sourcing trackers, cost sheets, supplier databases, and procurement documentation.
• Drive cost-saving initiatives and deliver measurable value improvements.
• Conduct supplier performance reviews; address and resolve supply-related issues.
• Ensure timely delivery and adherence to company standards and policies.
• Support supplier audits, sampling, and qualification processes as needed.
• Execute sourcing activities within SAP/ERP or equivalent systems (POs, vendor master data, and related workflows).

Your Role

Who You Are
