Job summary

OpenText is seeking a Senior Solution Architect in the Business Value Consulting team to help customers understand business value and shape technology strategy for digital transformation. You will assess IT environments, align solutions with objectives, and provide architectural guidance across the sales cycle to ensure a smooth transition from design to implementation.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in consultative or complex technical sales and deployment projects.
• 5+ years in architecture, design, implementation, and/or support of highly distributed applications.
• 2+ years of experience migrating on-prem workloads to the cloud.
• Strong understanding of cloud computing technologies and deployment models (SaaS, PaaS).
• Understanding of information security, compliance standards, and IT governance.
• Strong project planning, organizational, time management, and prioritization skills.
• Excellent customer service, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work with diverse stakeholders across global teams.
• Self-motivated with a focus on quality and customer outcomes.

Your Impact

As a Senior Solution Architect within OpenText’s Business Value Consulting team, you will play a key role in helping customers understand the business value of OpenText solutions and shape the right technology strategy to support their digital transformation journey.

You will assess customers’ existing IT environments, business objectives, and technology strategies, and develop scalable solutions aligned with their evolving needs. Working as a trusted advisor to customers and sales teams, you will provide architectural guidance across the sales cycle and help ensure successful transition from solution design to implementation.

What The Role Offers

• Partner with sales teams throughout the sales cycle, from discovery and qualification through to closing.
• Assess customer IT ecosystems and develop solution strategies aligned with business objectives.
• Collaborate with customer Enterprise Architects and stakeholders to design scalable and adaptable solutions.
• Lead customer workshops covering cloud, security, and architecture.
• Support customers in evaluating deployment models and cloud transformation strategies.
• Develop joint migration strategies with Professional Services and Cloud Services teams to ensure a smooth transition.
• Identify and address information security, compliance, and technology risks.
• Partner with privacy and compliance teams to ensure solutions meet regulatory and information management requirements.
• Provide insights on emerging cloud computing and information management trends.
• Contribute to enterprise IT policies, standards, and guidelines.
• Represent OpenText at customer events, conferences, and industry engagements.
• Continuously build expertise across OpenText solutions and different deployment models.

What You Will Need To Succeed

Must-Have Skills

• 5+ years of experience in consultative or complex technical sales and deployment projects.
• 5+ years of experience in architecture, design, implementation, and/or support of highly distributed applications.
• 2+ years of experience in migrating on-premises workloads to the cloud.
• Strong understanding of cloud computing technologies and deployment models, including SaaS and PaaS.
• Understanding of information security, compliance standards, and IT governance.
• Strong project planning, organizational, time management, and prioritization skills.
• Strong problem-solving and customer qualification skills.
• Excellent customer service, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders across global teams.

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Knowledge of Enterprise Information Management and related OpenText solutions.
