Job summary

OpenText in Bengaluru is seeking a Lead Senior Software Engineer to design, develop, and deliver enterprise software in an Agile environment. You will analyze requirements, identify risks, and drive high-quality solutions across cross-functional teams.

The role requires 8–12 years of hands-on experience with C++/Java, cloud platforms, Docker, and Kubernetes, with a focus on performance, scalability, and security. You will work independently and mentor others in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MCA, or a related discipline.
• 8–12 years of software development experience.
• Strong programming knowledge in C++ and Java.
• Strong understanding of data structures and object-oriented programming.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms.
• Good knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.
• Good understanding of Unix, databases, and RDBMS concepts.
• Experience with database migration and performance optimization.
• Strong debugging, troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of Agile development and CI/CD practices.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of assignments through to completion.

Your Impact

As a Lead Senior Software Engineer at OpenText, you will contribute to the design, development, and delivery of enterprise software solutions within an Agile development environment. You will analyze requirements, identify technical risks, develop high-quality software, and help ensure solutions meet standards for performance, reliability, scalability, and security.

You will work closely with teams across geographies, take ownership of complex technical challenges, and drive assigned work through to completion. Your strong technical and analytical skills will be critical in resolving complex defects and customer challenges.

What The Role Offers

• Analyze requirements, identify potential risks, and recommend solutions to minimize user impact.
• Translate requirements into implementation plans, including effort estimates and task breakdowns.
• Design, develop, and deliver high-quality software in line with technical specifications.
• Participate throughout the software development life cycle within an Agile team.

• Troubleshoot and resolve complex software defects and customer issues.
