Job summary

Luxoft is seeking a Senior Solution Designer to define and govern solution architecture for a client onboarding application, translating business needs into scalable, secure technology solutions.

You will lead end-to-end design for onboarding and product enablement, defining microservice architectures with Java 17+, Spring Boot, and Kafka, and driving cloud-native, CI/CD, and DevOps practices across delivery squads.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in enterprise software delivery, with 5+ years in Solution Design or Architecture.
• Strong experience designing distributed, scalable, and microservices-based systems.
• Strong hands-on expertise in Java 17+ and Spring Boot/Spring Cloud.
• Strong experience in REST API design, OpenAPI/Swagger, and enterprise integration patterns.
• Experience with event-driven and asynchronous architectures, preferably using Kafka.
• Strong understanding of software design patterns and architectural principles.
• Experience with cloud-native architectures, Kubernetes, and Docker.
• Experience with AWS cloud services and modern DevOps practices.
• Hands-on exposure to CI/CD and engineering tools such as Jenkins, Harness, GitHub Enterprise, Maven, or Gradle.
• Strong understanding of secure software development lifecycle, automated testing, observability, monitoring, and logging.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end solution design for client onboarding and product enablement.
• Define scalable microservice-based solutions using Java and Spring Boot.
• Produce solution design documents, integration specifications, Architecture Decision Records (ADRs), and deployment models.
• Define REST API contracts, integration patterns, and event-driven/asynchronous solutions using Kafka where appropriate.
• Ensure solutions align with enterprise architecture principles, security standards, and strategic technology direction.
• Collaborate with Solution Engineers through design reviews, code reviews, and implementation activities.
• Ensure solutions meet performance, resiliency, security, observability, and operational supportability requirements.
• Drive adoption of cloud-native architecture, CI/CD, DevOps, and Infrastructure-as-Code practices.
• Ensure monitoring, logging, auditability, and operational controls are incorporated into solution designs.
• Support engineering teams in implementing automated quality and deployment pipelines.
• Incorporate privacy, regulatory, compliance, and control requirements into solution designs.
• Partner with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Architects, and Engineering Managers to shape delivery outcomes.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineers and emerging Solution Designers.

The role is responsible for defining and governing solution architecture and detailed solution designs for a client onboarding application supporting product onboarding, regulatory compliance, and sales enablement. The Solution Designer will work closely with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Engineers, Enterprise Architects, and domain teams to translate business requirements into scalable, secure, resilient, and supportable technology solutions. The role provides technical leadership across multiple delivery squads and ensures alignment with enterprise architecture standards, engineering practices, and strategic technology roadmaps.
