Job summary

Seargin is recruiting a Senior Solution Architect – Workforce to design and govern scalable, secure HR platforms across Roche’s global Workforce ecosystem. You will lead architecture across Workday, ServiceNow HRSD, and payroll/time systems, ensuring secure integration and architectural consistency across the portfolio.

You will own data privacy, risk assessments, ADRs, and multi-year roadmaps, collaborating with global teams and external partners to modernize and automate the Workforce tech

Qualifications

• Extensive experience as a Solution Architect for enterprise HR/workforce platforms.
• Strong integration experience across Workday and ServiceNow HRSD.
• Security, privacy, and regulatory requirements knowledge (GDPR).
• Experience with data governance, API management and enterprise data models.
• Ability to drive architecture decisions and document ADRs.

Responsibilities

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Solution Architect – Workforce who will be responsible for designing and governing scalable, secure and future-ready solutions across Roche’s global Workforce ecosystem. The role sits at the intersection of People & Culture (P&C), enterprise architecture and technical delivery, with responsibility for the architecture of core HR, payroll, time, rewards and employee experience platforms.

The architect will lead solution design across key platforms including Workday, ServiceNow HRSD and global/regional Payroll & Time systems such as ADP, Ramco and Euhreka. A major part of the role will be ensuring secure integration between these heterogeneous systems and maintaining architectural consistency across the Workforce product portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Design scalable and resilient architectures across Workday, ServiceNow HRSD, Payroll, Time & Absence, Total Rewards and External Workforce solutions.
• Define integration patterns between Workday, ServiceNow and regional/local payroll and time systems.
• Lead technical architecture and integration decisions across global and regional Workforce platforms.
• Own technical aspects of data privacy, security and compliance, including GDPR and local regulatory requirements.
• Lead and prepare System Risk Assessments (SRAs) and other mandatory security and compliance documentation.
• Define and maintain Non-Functional Requirements (NFRs), security baselines, reliability requirements and architectural standards.
• Create and maintain conceptual and logical data models, integration taxonomies, system interaction diagrams and enterprise data models.
• Establish reference architectures and document key architectural decisions through Architecture Decision Records (ADRs).
• Provide architectural guidance to product teams, System Managers and external technology partners such as Accenture and PwC.
• Develop and maintain the multi-year technology roadmap for the Workforce product portfolio.
• Evaluate emerging technologies, including AI and ServiceNow Now Assist, and identify opportunities for automation and modernization.
• Identify, prioritize and reduce technical debt across the Workforce technology landscape.
• Translate complex technical, security and risk topics into clear recommendations for business and P&C leadership.

Key requirements

Must-have

• Extensive experience as a Solution Architect working with enterprise-scale HR/Workforce solutions.
• Strong architecture and integration experience with Workday, particularly HCM, Core Data and Security.
• Experience with ServiceNow HRSD and workflow automation.
• Experience integrating Payroll and Time systems, such as ADP, Ramco or Euhreka.
• Strong understanding of GDPR, data privacy, security and regulatory requirements.
• Hands-on experience with System Risk Assessments (SRAs) or comparable technical security assessments.
• Strong knowledge of API management, integration architecture, event-driven architecture and identity management.
• Experience with enterprise data architecture and data governance principles, including FAIR data principles.
• Ability to work across global, cross-functional teams and translate business requirements into technical architecture.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
