Job summary

Moder Solutions in Chennai, India, seeks an experienced architect to design, develop, and deploy Workday-based solutions within the Product Team. You will collaborate with business stakeholders and IT leadership to define technical architecture, document enhancements, and guide production deployments.

You will act as SME and escalation point for Workday integration, covering GL, HCM, Talent Management, Recruiting and Security configuration, with Java/JavaScript/XML/XSLT/XPath/JSON and OAuth 2.0

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in IT or related field.
• 8 years configuring Workday GL, HCM, Talent Management, Recruiting and Security.
• 3-5 years as an active architect.
• Strong communication, presentation and relationship-building skills.
• Experience with iterative/agile software development.
• Solid understanding of cloud SaaS architecture and integration patterns.
• Experience in global/virtual team environments.
• Proficient in Java, JavaScript, XML, XSLT, XPath, JSON, OAuth 2.0.
• Nice to have: Workday Studio integration, Report as a Service, Incent, Concur, Workday connectors, EIB, SOAP/REST.
• Azure and .NET experience; Workday API integration.

Goals & Objectives

This role is responsible for solution design, development, and deployment within their Product Team. They will collaborate with business stakeholders IT Leadership to recommend solutions and maintain documentation related to enhancements. They will participate in the development of approved solutions and deployment to Production. They will serve as an escalation point and subject matter expert for the Workday platform.

Job Functions

1. Design/Development

• Interpreting and translating goals into technical specifications, delivering recommendations around technologies and approach.
• Participate in vendors and third-party projects to ensure successful delivery.
• Collaborating with other Architects and Developers to provide technical design guidance to align with strategy and applicable technical standards.
• Working independently to evaluate and recommend strategic decisions that will address specific technology design needs.
• Mitigating the impact of technical design on security, performance, and data privacy.
• Participating in application solutions including assisting with planning and architectural design, development, resolution of technical issues and application rationalization.
• Deliver new features and functionality as needed to supplement development capacity.
• Serve as a subject matter expert and escalation point for development efforts.

2. Deploy

• Clearly identify deployment steps related to feature branches created.
• Actively work with deployment team to resolve any deployment issues.
• Assist in maintaining repository with latest code.
• Hold code review meetings with management to demonstrate functionality.

Education/Skill Requirements[CN1]

• Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) in IT or related field
• 8 years experience configuring in Workday GL, HCM, Talent Management, Recruiting and Security configuration
• 3-5 years experience as an active architect
• Must have strong communication, presentation and relationship building skills.
• Must have experience with iterative or agile software development methodologies.
• Must have a strong understanding of cloud SaaS architecture principles and integration patterns.
• Must have experience working in a global/virtual team environment.
• Must demonstrate strong background in the areas of Java, JavaScript, XML, XSLT, XPath, JSON, oAuth 2.0.
• Nice to have Workday Studio integration experience.
• Must have experience with Report as a Service.
• Nice to have experience with Incent.
• Nice to have experience with Concur.
• Must have experience with Workday connectors.
• Must have experience with Document Transformation & EIB.
• Nice to have experience with Workday API integration in both SOAP and REST.
• Nice to have Azure and .NET experience.
• Workday Certified Integration preferred.
• Solid understanding of security and data privacy standards, data governance and integration/development standards and best practices.
• Experience working in the following tools is a plus:
  • Bitbucket
  • GearSet
  • Jira
• Financial Services experience is a plus.
• Salesforce experience is nice to have.
