Job summary

Source-Right in Pune, India seeks a Senior Software Validation professional to lead validation activities for automotive electronics products, with emphasis on infotainment systems.

The role requires 8+ years in automotive validation and 4+ years in infotainment software testing, strong debugging skills, scripting (Python/ CAPL), and experience with CANoe/Lab tools. You will guide junior team members and collaborate across functions. Excellent documentation and presentation skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics Engineering.
• 8+ years of experience in Automotive Validation.
• 4+ years in Infotainment software testing.

Responsibilities

• Interact with development lead for scheduling and planning of releases.
• Develop plan to execute different kinds of test.
• Create & maintain DVP (Development Validation Plan).
• Review the DVP created by the team.
• Plan to automate SoC & MCU test cases & guide junior team members for automation flow.
• Perform peer reviews and troubleshoot/debug existing systems.
• Ensure software is updated with latest features and document lessons learned.

Overall Responsibilities And Duties

Candiadte will be responsible Software Validation activity which incliude validation for Automotive electronics Products

Qualifications

Bachelor/Master of Engineering degree in Electronics.

Experience

• 8+ years of experience in Automotive Validation
• Atleast 4+ years of experience in Infotaiment software testing

Skills And Competencies

Must Have:

• Strong understanding of Automotive Infotainment Systems & it’s validation.
• Should have experience in gray box testing.
• Experience in creating and executing the test cases/test plans developed from requirements.
• Review software requirements, software architecture, and test specifications
• Ensure compliance with customer requirements and quality standards.
• Core experience in testing of Infotainment feature like BT,Tuner, UDS ,Android Auto, Carplay, Navigation,WiFi, Cybersecurity & Functional safety .
• Should have knowledge of defect management
• Knowledge of C++, embedded C
• Hands on experience in Python & CAPL script for test case writing & automation.
• In depth Knowledge of HW/CANoe.
• Knowledge and experience with automotive communication protocols such as CAN, LIN &UDS Protocols and related tools to measure and command signals, though scripting or otherwise.
• Experience with Configuration Management, requirement management,revision control,issue-tracking,review tools like JIRA/ DOORS/ALM Tools / GIT/GERRIT /Confluence etc.
• Very good knowledge different testing technique
• Hand on experience in debugger ( Trace32, Seggar, J-Link, etc) for test case execution.
• Hands-on skills to design, build and bring up test setup/ infra
• Must be a good team player and act as per the project needs.
• Business level of English.
• Should guide to junior team member
