Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, engineering, information technology, or related field.
  • Experience with container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes or Nomad.
  • Experience collaborating with customers and technical resources on other teams.
  • Experience designing solutions in Agile environments.
  • Experience with cloud-enabled stacks (Azure or AWS).
  • Experience with AI workflows, LLMs and RAG pipelines; Claude, Codex, Copilot, AIDLC.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Deliver hands-on AI-first engineering within an agile team to build, operate, and scale a production AI platform and intelligent automation capabilities
  • Drive continuous AI innovation to enhance platform resilience, security, and enterprise-scale performance
  • Design and implement reusable services, tools, and automation to improve engineering productivity and enable new high-value use cases
  • Advance team maturity in agile, DevOps, and AI engineering practices to accelerate delivery speed, quality, and business impact
  • Lead by example in applying AI-enabled DevOps, rapidly delivering high-value solutions while shaping future platform capabilities and engineering standards

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Experience with container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes or Nomad.
  • Experience providing value while working with customers and technical resources on other teams.
  • Experience designing and building technical solutions that solve business problems in an Agile environment.
  • Experience with modern cloud-enabled software stacks and techniques, either Azure or AWS.
  • Experience with AI workflows, LLMs and RAG pipelines; Claude, Codex, Copilot, AIDLC
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of healthcare information systems, healthcare data transactions and data types are beneficial
  • Knowledge of Optum businesses, critical enterprise platforms, and their related technology needs is beneficial
  • Knowledge of modern computer vision concepts and techniques are beneficial
  • Proven solid written and verbal communications skills including creating documentation
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and be organized
  • Proven collaborative and not afraid to ask questions
