Job summary

Carelon Global Solutions India is seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer II with deep expertise in Workday development and testing to join the CGS HRIS team in Bengaluru. This role acts as a key liaison between HR, HRIS, and business units to ensure Workday solutions meet complex requirements.

You will design, develop and maintain Workday integrations, reports, and security configurations, and participate in implementations from design to go-live.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in a related field.
• Workday Certification in Integration Studio is a plus.
• 3–4 years of hands-on Workday Technical Consultant experience with integration tooling.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain Workday integrations.
• Create and enhance custom reports and calculated fields in Workday.
• Support Workday modules (HCM, TA, Payroll, Benefits, Time Tracking, leave management).
• Collaborate with functional consultants and business users to translate requirements into scalable Workday solutions.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and support integrations and reports.
• Participate in Workday Implementations (design, testing, deployment, post go-live).
• Ensure data integrity and security by configuring Workday security groups, roles and domain permissions.

JOB PURPOSE

Carelon Global Solutions India is seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer II with deep expertise in Workday development and testing skills to join the CGS HRIS team. This role will serve as a key liaison between HR, HRIS, functional and business teams to ensure Workday is optimized to support business needs. This role is ideal for a proactive Workday Technical consultant who can support the development and maintenance of Workday.

JOB RESPONSIBILITY

The Senior Software Engineer II position is responsible for the below:

• Design, develop and maintain Workday integrations
• Create and enhance custom reports (advanced, Matrix, Composite) and calculated fields in Workday
• Support Workday modules such as HCM, TA, Payroll, Benefits, Time Tracking, leave management etc
• Partner with functional consultants and business users to understand requirements and translate them into scalable workday solutions
• Troubleshoot technical issues and provide support for Workday integrations and reports
• Participate in Workday Implementation projects (design, testing, deployment and post go-live support)
• Ensure data integrity and security by configuring and maintaining Workday security groups, roles and domain permissions

QUALIFICATION

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree
• Workday Certification in Integration Studio will be an added advantage

EXPERIENCE

Min 3-4 years of hands-on experience as a Workday Technical Consultant Hands on experience with Workday Integration tolls

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

Workday Report Writing, custom reports, calculated fields, Custom Objects. Familiarity with BIRT reporting Knowledge of Implementation Tenant, Sandbox Tenant, Production Tenant Strong understanding of Workday Data model and business process framework Workday Integration tools: Workday Studio, EIB’s, Core Connector, Cloud Connect and workday web services, document transformations Proficiency in XSLT, XML, JSON and REST/SOAP API’s Knowledge of Jira and Bit bucket Strong consulting skills, handling customer expectations Strong analytical mindset and usage of analytics and reporting tools Excellent communication skills delivering to functional and management audience Knowledge of HRIS, Program Management tools and MS Office
