Job summary
Carelon Global Solutions India is seeking a Senior Software Engineer II with deep expertise in Workday development and testing to join the CGS HRIS team in Bangalore. You will liaise with HR, HRIS, and business units to optimize Workday capabilities and deliver scalable solutions.
The role requires hands-on Workday Integration experience, knowledge of HCM, TA, Payroll, Benefits, and strong reporting skills. This is a full-time position with opportunities across global teams.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Workday development and testing within HRIS context.
- Experience designing and maintaining Workday integrations and reports.
- Familiarity with Workday data model and business processes.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop and maintain Workday integrations
- Create and enhance custom reports (advanced, Matrix, Composite) and calculated fields in Workday
- Support Workday modules such as HCM, TA, Payroll, Benefits, Time Tracking, leave management etc
- Partner with functional consultants and business users to translate requirements into Workday solutions
- Troubleshoot issues and provide support for Workday integrations and reports
- Participate in Workday Implementation projects (design, testing, deployment and post go-live support)
- Ensure data integrity and security by configuring security groups, roles and domain permissions

- Carelon Global Solutions India is seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer II with deep expertise in Workday development and testing skills to join the CGS HRIS team.
- This role will serve as a key liaison between HR, HRIS, functional and business teams to ensure Workday is optimized to support business needs.
- This role is ideal for a proactive Workday Technical consultant who can support the development and maintenance of Workday
The Senior Software Engineer II position is responsible for the below:
- Design, develop and maintain Workday integrations
- Create and enhance custom reports (advanced, Matrix, Composite) and calculated fields in Workday
- Support Workday modules such as HCM, TA, Payroll, Benefits, Time Tracking, leave management etc
- Partner with functional consultants and business users to understand requirements and translate them into scalable workday solutions
- Troubleshoot technical issues and provide support for Workday integrations and reports
- Participate in Workday Implementation projects (design, testing, deployment and post go-live support)
- Ensure data integrity and security by configuring and maintaining Workday security groups, roles and domain permissions
- Bachelor s or Master s Degree
- Workday Certification in Integration Studio will be an added advantage
- Min 3-4 years of hands-on experience as a Workday Technical Consultant
- Hands on experience with Workday Integration tolls
- Workday Report Writing, custom reports, calculated fields, Custom Objects. Familiarity with BIRT reporting
- Knowledge of Implementation Tenant, Sandbox Tenant, Production Tenant
- Strong understanding of Workday Data model and business process framework
- Workday Integration tools: Workday Studio, EIB s, Core Connector, Cloud Connect and workday web services, document transformations
- Proficiency in XSLT, XML, JSON and REST/SOAP API s
- Knowledge of Jira and Bit bucket
- Strong consulting skills, handling customer expectations
- Strong analytical mindset and usage of analytics and reporting tools
- Excellent communication skills delivering to functional and management audience
- Knowledge of HRIS, Program Management tools and MS Office
