Job summary

Staples India is hiring a Senior Software Engineer for Web Methods & Java Services in Tamil Nadu. You will design, build, and maintain enterprise integration solutions for on-premises and cloud environments, using webMethods, Java, REST APIs, and modern DevOps practices.

You will collaborate with architects and cross-functional teams to ensure high reliability, security, and performance while driving continuous improvement and rigorous testing across the release lifecycle.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of hands-on development experience in webMethods and Java services.
• Experience with webMethods Suite products including Integration Server and Trading Networks.
• Proficiency in REST APIs and secure, scalable cloud/on-premise integrations.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Jenkins; source control with Bitbucket.
• Strong Linux command-line skills and Oracle DB experience.
• Familiarity with messaging systems (ActiveMQ/JMS) and data formats (JSON/XML/EDI).
• Knowledge of Agile frameworks (SAFe, Scrum, Kanban).
• Experience in debugging, troubleshooting, and production support for integration solutions.

Developenterprise-level integration solutions, including new capabilities and features, for both on-premises and cloud-based applications.

Basic Qualifications

Skilled in administeringwebMethodsIntegration Server.

Experiencedinanymessaging platforms such as Apache ActiveMQ, JMS Messaging,orIBM WebSphere MQ.

Experiencewith communication protocols such as HTTPS and SFTP.

Experience working withindata formats including JSON, XML, Flat File, and EDI.

Practical experience in developing and consuming REST APIs and HTTPS services.

Knowledge ofApplication Statement 2 (AS2) over HTTPS protocol.

Solid knowledge of relational databases, preferably Oracle, from an application development perspective.
