Senior Software Engineer - UI

Join Barclays as a Senior Software Engineer - UI and help build enterprise‑scale web applications that drive business value. You will work collaboratively with product managers, UX designers, and backend teams to deliver high‑quality, secure user interfaces.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain responsive, accessible UI components using React.js, HTML5, JavaScript, TypeScript, CSS3, LESS, and Bootstrap.


• Collaborate with backend teams to integrate UI with RESTful micro‑services and ensure smooth end‑to‑end functionality.


• Build unit and integration tests using Jest and other testing frameworks; enforce robust code quality standards.


• Participate in code reviews, pair programming, and knowledge‑sharing sessions to elevate engineering standards.


• Stay updated on industry trends and contribute to the technical community within Barclays.


• Ensure adherence to secure coding practices and support regulatory, corporate governance, and data‑security requirements.

Required Experience and Skills

• 8+ years of professional software development experience.


• Strong expertise in React.js and associated front‑end technologies.
