Job summary

Barclays invites applications for a Senior Software Engineer – UI in Pune. You will design, develop and enhance enterprise web applications, collaborating with product managers, designers and engineers to deliver scalable UI solutions.

You will work with React.js, Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs and modern frontend technologies, ensuring secure, high‑quality code and robust testing. Prior experience in enterprise environments and strong communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience in React.js with proven expertise in designing and developing enterprise-scale web applications.
• Solid development experience in Java, Spring Boot, and REST API development with the ability to work across UI and backend components.
• Deep understanding of modern UI technologies including React, HTML5, JavaScript, TypeScript, CSS3, LESS, Bootstrap, Node.js, Jest, and JSON over HTTP.
• Strong understanding of software design principles, design patterns, component-based architecture, and application security best practices.
• Experience building responsive, accessible, and high-performance user interfaces.

• Understanding of micro‑frontend architecture and modern frontend engineering practices.
