Job summary

ZEISS India seeks an experienced ServiceNow Developer to implement and operate DevOps solutions, focusing on SPM/ITBM modules across Demand, Project, Portfolio, Resource, and Financial Management.

You will collaborate with multiple ServiceNow product teams, ensure standard-compliant deployments, and drive automation with AI tools like Now Assist. Strong hands-on integrations and agile experience are required.

Qualifications

• Completed a degree in computer science.
• 5+ years of professional experience as a ServiceNow Developer.
• Strong hands-on experience in SPM/ITBM modules including Demand, Project, Portfolio, Resource, and Financial Management.
• In-depth knowledge of troubleshooting, performance optimization, and root cause analysis.
• Solid experience in designing and implementing integrations (REST/SOAP/PowerShell).
• Proven experience in managing ServiceNow implementation projects and integrating external systems using various integration technologies.
• Experience in agile structures and implementing agile and hybrid projects, complemented by teamwork and goal orientation.
• Basic knowledge of AI technologies and their practical application.
• Basic understanding of AI ServiceNow platform capabilities (Now Assist).

Responsibilities

• Responsibility for implementing and operating the supported solutions within the DevOps team.
• Ensuring implementation that stays close to the standard in order to avoid technical debt and make optimal use of platform enhancements.
• Developing high-quality, sustainable solutions with a forward-looking view across the entire product lifecycle.
• Responsibility for the security of the products and solutions to be supported.
• Close collaboration across teams and products with other ServiceNow product teams.
• Active contribution as a central part of the DevOps product team, including the integration of connected products and systems.
• Use AI technologies to fulfill role responsibilities, improve development, automate tasks, and enhance efficiency and quality.
• Explore, evaluate, and empower the adoption of new AI technologies within the product team and the broader ServiceNow platform.
• Design and develop ServiceNow SPM (ITBM) solutions across Demand, Project, Portfolio, Resource, and Financial Management.
• Translate business requirements into scalable and sustainable technical solutions.
• Continuously improve SPM processes, governance, and data models.
• Integrate SPM with enterprise systems using standard integration technologies (REST/SOAP).
• Leverage AI capabilities (e.g., Now Assist) and supporting tools to enhance automation, efficiency, and developer productivity.

Education & Work Experience

• Completed a degree in computer science.
• 5+ years of professional experience and proven success as a ServiceNow Developer.
• Strong hands‑on experience in Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM / ITBM) modules including Demand, Project, Portfolio, Resource, and Financial Management.
• In‑depth knowledge of troubleshooting, performance optimization, and root cause analysis.
• Solid experience in designing and implementing integrations (REST/SOAP/PowerShell).
• Proven in‑depth experience in managing ServiceNow implementation projects and integrating external systems using various integration technologies.
• Experience working in agile structures and implementing agile and hybrid projects, complemented by strong teamwork skills and goal orientation.
• Basic knowledge of AI technologies and their practical application.
• Basic understanding of AI ServiceNow platform capabilities (Now Assist).
• Experience as a full‑stack developer is helpful but not required.
• ITIL Foundation level and project management certification are advantageous.
