Job summary

ZEISS India seeks an experienced ServiceNow Developer in Bengaluru to implement and operate DevOps solutions aligned with standard practices. You will design and deliver SPM (ITBM) offerings across Demand, Project, Portfolio, Resource, and Financial Management, and integrate with enterprise systems using REST/SOAP.

You will apply AI techniques to automate tasks, improve efficiency, and ensure security while collaborating with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Completed a degree in computer science.
• 5+ years of professional experience as a ServiceNow Developer.
• Strong hands-on experience in SPM/ITBM modules including Demand, Project, Portfolio, Resource, and Financial Management.
• Sound knowledge of JavaScript development, OOP, and software design principles.
• In-depth troubleshooting, performance optimization, and root cause analysis.
• Experience designing integrations (REST/SOAP/PowerShell).
• Experience in agile structures and hybrid projects; teamwork-focused.
• Basic knowledge of AI technologies and Now Assist capabilities.

Responsibilities

Roles Responsibilities

• Responsibility for implementing and operating the supported solutions within the DevOps team.
• Ensuring implementation that stays close to the standard in order to avoid technical debt and make optimal use of platform enhancements.
• Developing high-quality, sustainable solutions with a forward-looking view across the entire product lifecycle.
• Responsibility for the security of the products and solutions to be supported.
• Close collaboration across teams and products with other ServiceNow product teams.
• Active contribution as a central part of the DevOps product team, including the integration of connected products and systems.
• Use AI technologies to fulfill role responsibilities, improve development, automate tasks, and enhance efficiency and quality.
• Explore, evaluate, and empower the adoption of new AI technologies within the product team and the broader ServiceNow platform.
• Design and develop ServiceNow SPM (ITBM) solutions across Demand, Project, Portfolio, Resource, and Financial Management.
• Translate business requirements into scalable and sustainable technical solutions.
• Continuously improve SPM processes, governance, and data models.

Education Work Experience

• Completed a degree in computer science.
• 5+ years of professional experience and proven success as a ServiceNow Developer.
• Strong hands-on experience in Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM / ITBM) modules including Demand, Project, Portfolio, Resource, and Financial Management.
• Sound knowledge of JavaScript development, with a focus on object-oriented programming and a solid understanding of class structures, class inheritance, and software design principles.
• In-depth knowledge of troubleshooting, performance optimization, and root cause analysis.
• Solid experience in designing and implementing integrations (REST/SOAP/PowerShell).
• Proven in-depth experience in managing ServiceNow implementation projects and integrating external systems using various integration technologies.
• Experience working in agile structures and implementing agile and hybrid projects, complemented by strong teamwork skills and goal orientation.
• Basic knowledge of AI technologies and their practical application.
• Basic understanding of AI ServiceNow platform capabilities (Now Assist).
• Experience as a full-stack developer is helpful but not required.
• ITIL Foundation level and project management certification are advantageous.
