Rocket India is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to lead backend design and implementation in Node.js/NestJS (TypeScript), with occasional C#/.NET work, within an AWS microservices environment.

You will mentor engineers, set coding standards, drive incident readiness, and partner with product and architecture to deliver scalable services that meet security and reliability goals.

Qualificações

• 58+ years of professional software development experience, with deep expertise in Node.js/TypeScript and production experience with NestJS.
• Solid hands-on experience with C#/.NET (ASP.NET Core, Entity Framework Core).
• Proven track record of designing, building, and operating microservices on AWS.
• Experience leading technical design decisions and mentoring other engineers.

Responsabilidades

Senior Software Engineer

Summary

Experienced backend engineer with deep expertise in Node.js/NestJS (Typescript) and working knowledge of C#/.NET who leads technical design for medium-to-large features in an AWS microservices environment, sets code quality standards, and mentors the team.

What You'll Do

Technical Leadership & Architecture

• Lead design and implementation of complex features and microservices in Node.js/NestJS (TypeScript), and in C#/.NET where needed
• Define service boundaries, API contracts, and ownership; partner with product and architecture on tradeoffs and sequencing
• Identify architectural risks and technical debt; propose and drive remediation
• Influence technical direction across the team without formal authority

Engineering Excellence & Standards

• Set and enforce best practices for testing, code review, security (OAuth/AuthHub, dependency hygiene), and observability
• Champion resilience patterns for distributed services (retries, idempotency, circuit breakers, event-driven communication)
• Establish observability standards using Dynatrace, CloudWatch, structured logging, and distributed tracing

Team Development & Mentorship

• Mentor Software Engineer I and II team members on technical growth and system design
• Review designs and code across the team with constructive, knowledge-sharing feedback

Production Excellence & Incident Management

• Lead incident response and root-cause analysis for critical issues spanning multiple services
• Implement preventative measures (SLOs, alerting, runbooks) and share learnings across the team

Experience

• 58+ years of professional software development experience, with deep expertise in Node.js/TypeScript and production experience with NestJS

• Proven track record of designing, building, and operating microservices on AWS
• Experience leading technical design decisions and mentoring other engineers

Technical Skills

• Expert-level Node.js and TypeScript, including async patterns, performance tuning, and the npm ecosystem
• Strong NestJS expertise: modular architecture, dependency injection, guards/interceptors/pipes, and NestJS microservice transports
• Microservices architecture: service decomposition, API gateways, REST/gRPC, event-driven messaging (SQS/SNS/EventBridge, Kafka)
• AWS services such as Lambda, ECS/EKS, API Gateway, DynamoDB, S3, IAM, and CloudWatch
• Docker/Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps), and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform or CloudFormation)
• Relational and NoSQL data stores (PostgreSQL, SQL Server, DynamoDB, Redis) with TypeORM or Prisma
