Job summary

Zamp is building digital employees and seeks a Frontend Engineer with 3–7 years of experience to join our Bengaluru team. You will design, implement, and own scalable frontend solutions using React and TypeScript, collaborating with product and design to deliver delightful user experiences.

As a contributor and mentor, you will drive code quality, performance, and accessibility while partnering with backend engineers to ship robust platforms.

Qualifications

What you’ll do

• Designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality, secure, software solutions that adhere to basic engineering principles such as Gang of Four principles, SOLID, and DRY.
• Collaborating with functional teams to understand requirements and translate them into technical designs and implementation plans.
• Utilising your expertise in our engineering stack, which includes Golang, Redis, message queues like Kafka and Pubsub, Kubernetes (K8s).
• Shipping technically robust, scalable, and extendable platforms by applying best practices and ensuring code quality through testing, code reviews, and continuous integration.
• Identifying and resolving performance bottlenecks and other technical issues to ensure optimal system performance.
• Staying updated with the latest industry trends and technologies, and actively contributing to the improvement of our engineering practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Designing and developing high-quality, scalable, and performant front-end solutions using modern web technologies.
• Collaborating with product managers, UX/UI designers, and back-end engineers to translate requirements and designs into functional, user-friendly interfaces.
• Acting as a technical expert, staying updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in front-end development.
• Driving continuous improvement in development processes, code quality, and front-end architecture.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to define and implement best practices, standards, and coding conventions.
• Conducting performance optimisations and ensuring the scalability and responsiveness of our front-end applications.
• Championing usability and accessibility standards, ensuring our applications are intuitive and accessible to a diverse user base.
• Staying informed about user feedback and conducting user testing to make data-driven decisions for UI/UX improvements.
• Staying aligned with project timelines and delivering high-quality work within agreed-upon deadlines.

Qualifications

• 3-7 years of experience as a Frontend Engineer, with a strong track record of delivering high-quality front-end solutions.
• Experience in leading a team or mentoring junior developers, demonstrating strong leadership and communication skills.
• Deep understanding of front-end architecture, design patterns, and best practices.
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and agile development methodologies
• Familiarity with UI/UX design principles and the ability to collaborate effectively with designers.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude towards finding solutions.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks while adhering to deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail and a passion for creating exceptional user experiences.
