We are seeking a talented Senior Software Engineerto join our engineering team in Bengaluru. Operating on-site, the successful candidate will design, build, and optimize scalable, resilient, cloud-native applications utilizing Python, AWS, and MongoDB. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional development, data, and infrastructure teams to champion modern software architecture, incorporate AI best practices, and contribute to production stability through structured incident management principles.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
1. Application Architecture & Backend Development
- Design, implement, and maintain high-performance backend microservices and APIs using Pythonand modern framework standards.
- Ensure code quality, security, and scalability through comprehensive unit/integration testing and peer code reviews.
- Apply design patterns and object-oriented programming principles to solve complex business problems.
2. Cloud & Database Infrastructure
- Deploy, configure, and manage cloud services on AWS(e.g., EC2, S3, Lambda, ECS/EKS, API Gateway).
- Model NoSQL data structures, optimize indexing, and tune query performance in MongoDB.
- Manage relational data components using PL/SQLscripts and stored procedures where hybrid relational databases are integrated.
3. CI/CD, Containerization & AI Integration
- Implement continuous integration and deployment pipelines using modern CI/CD frameworks(e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI).
- Leverage container orchestration tools like Kubernetesto streamline application deployments and maintain cloud resilience.
- Incorporate AI best practices(e.g., AI-assisted development tools, prompt engineering, or LLM-driven pipelines) into software development processes.
4. Operational Support & Incident Management
- Actively participate in Incident Managementworkflows to investigate, triage, and resolve production outages.
- Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for critical technical issues and implement long-term preventive remediation.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education & Technical Experience
- Education: Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related quantitative field.
- Experience: Minimum 3 years to maximum 6 years of hands‑on software development experience.
Core Skill Requirements
- Primary Technologies: Advanced proficiency in Python, practical cloud experience with AWS, and database engineering in MongoDB.
- Good to Know Skills:
- Kubernetesand containerization concepts (Docker).
- Infrastructure deployment with modern CI/CD frameworks.
- Relational database querying with PL/SQL.
- Exposure to AI Best Practicesand modern developer tooling.
- Operational Knowledge: Solid operational understanding of Incident Management standards and ITIL best practices.
