About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer – Backend with 4–6 years of hands‑on experience in designing and building scalable, reliable, and high‑performance backend systems.

The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Golang and hands‑on experience with System Design, MongoDB, Elasticsearch, Kafka, and MySQL. You will be responsible for designing backend services, solving complex engineering problems, and building systems that can scale with business growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable and high‑performance backend services using Golang.
• Own backend components/services end‑to‑end, from design and development to deployment and production support.
• Participate in system design and architecture discussions and make appropriate technology and design decisions.
• Design and implement REST APIs and distributed backend services.
• Work with MongoDB and MySQL for data modeling, query optimization, indexing, and performance tuning.
• Build and maintain search and indexing solutions using Elasticsearch.
• Design and implement event‑driven architectures using Kafka.
• Identify and resolve performance, scalability, reliability, and production issues.
• Write clean, maintainable, testable, and production‑ready code.
• Conduct code reviews and contribute to engineering best practices.
• Collaborate with Product, Frontend, Data, QA, DevOps, and other engineering teams.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to improving the team's engineering standards.
• Take ownership of technical problems and drive them to resolution.

Required Skills

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with observability tools such as Datadog, Grafana, Prometheus, or similar.
