Job summary

Sonata Software in Pune is seeking an experienced Backend Developer to design, develop, and maintain scalable Go-based backend services and microservices. You will build data-driven services using cloud-native databases, implement high-performance data-access patterns, and integrate with APIs and real-time messaging systems.

The role involves developing resilient distributed workflows, automated testing, and contributing to reliability, observability, and security.

Qualifications

• 5-8 years of software development experience with strong hands-on expertise in Go (Golang).
• Strong knowledge of Go concepts, including concurrency, goroutines, channels, interfaces, context handling, and idiomatic Go development.
• Experience building REST APIs, microservices, and distributed systems.
• Understanding of error handling, retries, idempotency, timeouts, and asynchronous processing.
• Experience working with NoSQL databases, automated testing, Git, CI/CD, observability, API security, and production troubleshooting.
• Practical experience using AI-assisted development tools in day-to-day engineering workflows.
