Sopra Steria Group is seeking an AS400 Developer in Noida/Bangalore. The role requires 4–6 years of AS400 development experience with COBOL, CL, and DB2, and knowledge of RPG/RPGLE. Prior banking/financial domain exposure is desirable. Strong communication and mentoring abilities are expected, with immediate joiners preferred.

You will contribute to design and development of new features, maintain existing applications, and collaborate in an Agile environment across cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• 4–6 years of AS400 development experience with COBOL, CL and DB2.
• Experience on OS/400, RPG and related tools is required.
• Experience in financial applications (Loans, Cards, Mortgage) is a plus.
• Immediate joiners preferred.

Responsabilités

• Develop and maintain AS400 applications with COBOL, CL and DB2.
• Provide support/maintenance for CL/SQLCBL/RPGLE/RPG400/SQLRPGLE based apps.
• Design and implement new features in the product.
• Mentor junior team members and participate in Agile ceremonies.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders and ensure quality.

Job Description

Position: AS400 Developer

Total Experience Expected: 03-06 years

Location: Noida, Bangalore

Primary Skills: AS400, OS400, Cobol, CL, DB2

1. 4-6 years of AS400 Development environment with strong COBOL, CL, and DB2 skills.
2. Previous experience working with financial application involving Loan/Credit Card/Mortgage/Retail Banking is preferable.
3. Experienced in providing Support and Maintenance on existing CL/SQLCBL/RPGLE/RPG400/SQLRPGLE based applications.
4. Good RPG development skills in RPG, RPG III, RPGLE, Embedded SQL and Free Format RPGLE.
5. Strong knowledge of OS 400 operating systems and CL job control language and job scheduler.
6. Strong knowledge in DB2 and Cobol DB2 programming
7. Participate in Design and Development of new features in the product.
8. Knowledge in Agile working methodology.
9. Mentoring of Junior Team members
10. Possess good communication skills
11. Immediate Joiners Preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
