Job summary

Sopra Steria in India is seeking an AS400 Developer to join our technology practice. You will work on AS400/OS400 environments, COBOL, CL, and DB2 across financial applications and ongoing feature development.

You should have 4-6 years of direct AS400 experience, strong RPG/RPGLE skills, and solid DB2/SQL expertise. Collaboration with teammates and mentoring junior staff are highly valued.

Qualifications

• 4-6 years of AS400 development with COBOL, CL, and DB2.
• Experience with financial applications (Loans, Cards, Mortgage, Retail Banking) preferable.
• Experience in providing support and maintenance on CL/SQLCBL/RPGLE/RPG400/SQLRPGLE applications.
• Strong RPG skills in RPG, RPG III, RPGLE, Embedded SQL and Free Format RPGLE.
• Strong OS/400 knowledge, CL job control language and job scheduling.
• Knowledge in DB2 and Cobol DB2 programming.
• Participate in design and development of new features in the product.
• Knowledge in Agile working methodology.
• Mentoring of Junior Team members.
• Possess good communication skills.
• Immediate Joiners Preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide ongoing support and maintenance for existing CL/SQLCBL/RPGLE/RPG400/SQLRPGLE applications.

Position: AS400 Developer

Total Experience Expected: 03-06 years

Primary Skills: AS400, OS400, Cobol, CL, DB2

• 4-6 years of AS400 Development environment with strong COBOL, CL, and DB2 skills.
• Previous experience working with financial application involving Loan/Credit Card/Mortgage/Retail Banking is preferable.
