Job summary

Sopra Steria Group is looking for an AS400 Developer for its Noida or Bangalore location. The role requires 3-6 years of experience with AS400, COBOL, CL, and DB2, and includes maintenance of existing CL/SQLCBL/RPGLE/RPG400/SQLRPGLE based applications. Knowledge of RPG/Dual RPG and Agile is advantageous.

Immediate joiners are preferred. Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science is required. The company emphasizes a diverse and inclusive work environment.

Qualifications

• 4-6 years of AS400 Development environment with strong COBOL, CL, and DB2 skills.
• Previous experience working with financial application involving Loan/Credit Card/Mortgage/Retail Banking is preferable.
• Experienced in providing Support and Maintenance on existing CL/SQLCBL/RPGLE/RPG400/SQLRPGLE based applications.
• Good RPG development skills in RPG, RPG III, RPGLE, Embedded SQL and Free Format RPGLE.
• Strong knowledge of OS 400 operating systems and CL job control language and job scheduler.
• Strong knowledge in DB2 and Cobol DB2 programming
• Participate in Design and Development of new features in the product.
• Knowledge in Agile working methodology.
• Mentoring of Junior Team members
• Possess good communication skills
