Job summary

ModMed is seeking a talented Senior Software Engineer 1 - iOS to design, develop and maintain high-quality mobile apps for healthcare professionals. You will translate requirements into scalable Swift/Objective-C solutions and collaborate with product, UX and other engineering teams.

You should have 5+ years of iOS experience, strong MVVM/MVC/VIPER, REST APIs, and a passion for clean architecture, testing and documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent.
• 5+ years of professional iOS development experience.
• Strong Swift and Objective-C skills with knowledge of iOS frameworks.
• Experience with MVVM/MVC/VIPER architectures and REST APIs.
• Proficient in Git and modern UI/UX practices.
• Experience with testing and code reviews.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain robust iOS apps using Swift/Objective-C.
• Collaborate with product, UX, and other engineers to translate requirements into features.
• Engage in full SDLC, including architecture design, coding, and reviews.
• Implement performance optimization, security, and maintainability improvements.
• Mentor junior engineers and promote learning within the team.

Job Description Summary:

Modernizing Medicine, Inc. is seeking a talented Senior Software Engineer 1 - iOS to contribute to the development of our cutting-edge mobile applications that are transforming healthcare. You will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality, scalable iOS solutions that enhance the user experience for our medical professionals.

Job Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain robust and performant iOS applications using Swift and Objective-C.
• Collaborate closely with product managers, UX/UI designers, and other engineering teams to translate requirements into technical specifications and deliver innovative features.
• Participate in the entire software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, architecture design, coding, testing, code reviews, and deployment.
• Identify and implement best practices for iOS development, including performance optimization, security, and maintainability.
• Debug and resolve complex technical issues, ensuring the stability and reliability of our mobile applications.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the team.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest iOS technologies, trends, and best practices.
• Contribute to technical documentation and knowledge sharing.

Job Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of professional experience in iOS application development.
• Strong proficiency in Swift and Objective-C, with a deep understanding of iOS frameworks (UIKit, Foundation, Core Data, etc.).
• Demonstrated experience with architectural patterns such as MVVM, MVC, or VIPER.
• Experience with RESTful APIs, JSON, and integrating with backend services.
• Proficiency with version control systems, particularly Git.
• Solid understanding of mobile UI/UX principles and best practices.
• Experience with unit testing, integration testing, and UI testing frameworks.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, agile environment.
