ModMed (Modernizing Medicine) is reimagining healthcare with doctor‑driven solutions and a cloud platform that centers patient care. We are seeking a senior front‑end engineer to own user‑facing features, write clean, maintainable code, and collaborate closely with Product and Design to balance usability with technical feasibility.

You should have 5+ years in React or modern JavaScript, strong TypeScript skills, and hands‑on experience with Jest, Cypress, or Playwright.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional front‑end experience with React or modern JavaScript.
• Proficiency in TypeScript is a plus.
• Hands‑on experience with Jest, Cypress, and Playwright.
• Ability to turn ideas into reality with ownership and initiative.
• Strong collaboration with Engineering, Design and Product teams.
• Ability to write and maintain detailed documentation.

Responsibilities

• Focus on front‑end coding as your primary responsibility, implementing user‑facing features with attention to detail and quality.
• Work closely with the Product team to help develop solutions that address customer needs, ensuring a balance between usability and technical feasibility.
• Participate in team discussions, planning, and decision‑making to improve workflows and foster collaboration.
• Break down feature requirements into manageable tasks, contributing to clear technical specifications and acceptance criteria.
• Maintain and enhance existing front‑end functionality, ensuring code quality through unit and integration testing under guidance.
• Assist in keeping the codebase updated by adopting modern front‑end practices, tools, and methodologies.

Skills & Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 5+ years of professional experience with React or other modern JavaScript frameworks. Proficiency in TypeScript is a plus.
• Hands‑on experience with test automation frameworks such as Jest, Cypress, and Playwright.
• A strong drive to learn and take on new challenges, with the ability to turn ideas into reality by taking ownership and following through on initiatives.
• Strong ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including Engineering, Design, and Product, with a focus on delivering customer‑centric solutions.
• Skilled in writing and maintaining detailed documentation to share knowledge and provide clarity on processes and implementations.
• Experience in software development best practices, including unit and integration testing.

Nice to Have

• Knowledge of testing cloud‑based SaaS applications and microservices architecture.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Bitbucket (or other Git servers), and Jenkins.
• Experience in continuous refactoring efforts to keep the codebase up to date with modern methodologies and technologies.
• Understanding of how to use AI tools to speed up development and automate tasks, with the ability to create effective pre‑context and prompts.
