Job summary

ModMed Technologies India Private Limited seeks a senior front-end engineer to drive user-facing features with React and TypeScript. You will closely partner with Product and Design to translate requirements into robust, scalable interfaces while ensuring quality through automated tests.

You will maintain and evolve the front-end codebase, adopt modern tooling, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver customer-centric SaaS solutions.

Job description

Responsibilities

• Focus on front-end coding as your primary responsibility, implementing user-facing features with attention to detail and quality.
• Work closely with the Product team to develop solutions that address customer needs, ensuring a balance between usability and technical feasibility.
• Participate in team discussions, planning, and decision-making to improve workflows and foster collaboration.
• Break down feature requirements into manageable tasks, contributing to clear technical specifications and acceptance criteria.
• Maintain and enhance existing front-end functionality, ensuring code quality through unit and integration testing under guidance.
• Assist in keeping the codebase updated by adopting modern front-end practices, tools, and methodologies.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 5+ years of professional experience with React or other modern JavaScript frameworks.
• Proficiency in TypeScript best practices is a plus.
• Hands‑on experience with test automation frameworks such as Jest, Cypress, Playwright.
• A strong drive to learn and take on new challenges, with the ability to turn ideas into reality by taking ownership and following through on initiatives.
• Strong ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including Engineering, Design, and Product, focusing on delivering customer‑centric solutions.
• Skilled in writing and maintaining detailed documentation to share knowledge and provide clarity on processes and implementations.
• Experience with software development best practices, including unit and integration testing.
• Nice to have: Knowledge of testing cloud‑based SaaS applications and microservices architecture.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Bitbucket (or other Git servers), and Jenkins.
• Experience in continuous refactoring efforts to keep the codebase up-to-date with modern methodologies and technologies.
• Understanding of how to use AI tools to speed up development and automate tasks, with the ability to create effective pre‑context and prompts.
