RCM Coding Analyst

Reports To: COE Coding Team Manager

Are you looking to bridge the gap between production coding and analytical problem-solving? As an RCM Coding Analyst, you’ll play a pivotal role in keeping healthcare practices running smoothly. You will get hands‑on experience as a production coder while stepping up to analyze coding denials, discover trends, and serve as a go‑to resource for internal team queries.
This role is a unique growth launchpad—giving you room to learn on the job (like mastering complex denial coding) while directly contributing to customer delight and driving operational speed so we can save time for the providers we serve.
Production Coding Excellence (30%): Accurately process and code client services, maintaining high standards of quality and regulatory compliance.
Denial Resolution (30%): Review, evaluate, and resolve coding denials to ensure accurate claim resolution for our client practices.
Trend Analysis & Workflow Prevention (30%): Analyze coding denials and patterns to pinpoint workflow improvements, root‑cause issues, and preventive solutions.
Team Knowledge Hub (10%): Serve as a helpful, subject‑matter resource for the MMI team regarding coding clarifications, questions, and guidance.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Human Science with a strong background in Anatomy.
Experience: Minimum of 2 years of hands‑on, multi‑specialty coding experience.
Certifications: Active certification in at least one of the following:
Certified Professional Coder (CPC)
Certified Outpatient Coder (COC)
Certified Coding Specialist - Physician (CCS‑P)
Certified Coding Specialist (CCS)
Analytical Mindset: Strong attention to detail with the curiosity to dig into denial trends and solve underlying root causes.
Communication: Clear, empathetic, and collaborative written and verbal communication across teams and geography.
Preferred Qualifications:
Degree in B.Sc, M.Sc, or B.Pharma.
Results Driven: You take pride in high quality, accuracy, and consistently achieving outcomes that move the needle.
