Job summary

Shell Infotech invites applications for a Senior Software Engineer (Backend) to join our client project. The role is full-time with a hybrid work arrangement (2 days WFO) and requires 7–10 years of experience in backend development, BE/BTech/MCA or equivalent.

You will develop RESTful APIs with Node.js/TypeScript, build serverless AWS solutions, ensure API security and reliability, and work with Agile teams. Location flexibility includes Bangalore, Hyderabad, Chennai.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of backend software development experience.
• Strong knowledge of Node.js and TypeScript.
• Experience building serverless APIs on AWS.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain RESTful APIs using Node.js and TypeScript.
• Build serverless applications using AWS Lambda.
• Implement API layers using AWS API Gateway.
• Design event-driven workflows using AWS EventBridge.
• Implement API security using OAuth 2.0, JWT, IAM roles, HTTPS, and rate limiting.
• Write unit and integration tests using Jest or Vitest.
• Optimize backend performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Integrate services with CI/CD pipelines.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile/Scrum environment.
• Support production systems and handle incident resolution when required.
