Job summary

Qtsolv is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer with strong Node.js and TypeScript skills to design, build, and scale backend services in a distributed, microservices-based environment on AWS. The role emphasizes ownership of performance, reliability, security, and production observability.

Experience in API design, cloud-native patterns, and data modeling with DynamoDB is essential; React/jаvaSpring exposure is a plus but not mandatory.

Qualifications

Role Summary

We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer with strong hands‑on expertise in Node.js, TypeScript, distributed systems, microservices, and AWS cloud technologies.
The engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, scaling, and supporting highly available backend services and APIs for customer‑facing applications. The role requires strong ownership of backend architecture, application performance, production reliability, security, observability, and cloud‑native engineering practices.
Experience with React frontend development and/or Java/Spring Boot is beneficial but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and resolve complex customer‑facing and production issues across backend services and cloud infrastructure.
• Proactively identify and address issues related to performance, scalability, stability, security, availability, and extensibility.
• Participate actively in architecture discussions, technical design reviews, and code reviews.
• Ensure backend services meet defined standards for performance, reliability, security, maintainability, and quality.
• Write automated unit, integration, API, and service‑level tests.
• Monitor and troubleshoot production applications using logs, metrics, traces, dashboards, and alerts.
• Maintain high availability and demonstrate strong ownership of customer trust and production reliability.
• Support and improve CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, containerization, and deployment processes.
• Collaborate with product managers, quality engineers, architects, and globally distributed engineering teams.
• Take end‑to‑end ownership of backend features throughout the complete software development lifecycle, from technical design and implementation through deployment and production support.
• Mentor engineers and contribute to backend engineering standards, development practices, and architectural guidelines.
