Job summary

Carnera Technologies in Bengaluru is seeking a Senior Node.js Developer to join our Integration team. You will design and build secure, scalable backend services and APIs using Node.js and AWS-based microservices, connecting ERP, SCM, CRM, and eCommerce systems.

The ideal candidate has 6+ years of backend experience, strong DevOps/observability practices, and comfort with CI/CD, CloudWatch, Dynatrace, Splunk, and IaC tools. Hybrid Bengaluru work arrangement and IST-aligned shifts apply.

Qualifications

• 6+ years backend development experience with Node.js (Java/Python exposure beneficial).
• Strong hands-on experience with Lambda, API Gateway, RDS, S3, ECS, Glue, EventBridge, SQS, SNS, etc.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD automation, and observability tools (Dynatrace, Splunk, CloudWatch).
• Understanding of security, IAM, and KMS concepts.
• Working knowledge of IaC (Serverless, CDK, or CloudFormation).
• Proficiency in GitHub for source control and Jira for Agile workflows.
• Exposure to developing services for Enterprise Data Integrations using AWS or middleware platforms.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs using Node.js.

• Ensure high performance, reliability, and cost efficiency of applications.
• Debug and resolve production issues within SLAs.
• Prepare and maintain HLD/LLD and technical documentation.
• Implement monitoring and tracing with CloudWatch, Dynatrace, Splunk, and AWS X‑Ray.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or CodePipeline.
• Apply security best practices across IAM, Secrets Manager, and KMS.
• Use Infrastructure as Code tools such as CloudFormation, CDK, or Serverless Framework.
• Conduct automated testing using Mocha, Jest, and mocking tools.
