Job summary

MiQ is hiring a Senior Software Engineer (Fullstack) in Bengaluru. You will contribute to a global data platform, enabling data scientists and analysts to ingest, process, and analyze vast data sets.

The role emphasizes OO programming, REST APIs, and microservices across Java/Kotlin/C++ stacks. You will work with a team that values collaboration, cloud familiarity, and modern web architectures, including Angular/React, in a hybrid Bengaluru environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering.
• 4–7 years development experience with an Object‑Oriented language.
• Experience building multi‑tier web apps and REST APIs.
• Hands‑on Java/Kotlin/C++ development experience.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to data platform development for ingestion, processing, and analysis of large data sets.
• Collaborate across squads to deliver scalable microservices and platform features.

What you’ll bring

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering
• 4-7 years development experience with an Object-Oriented

Language (Java/Kotlin/C++)

• Experience working on the Linux environment
• Good understanding of multi-tier web applications, experience working on building REST APIs
• Hands‑on experience in developing applications using Java

Enterprise platforms, using UNIX / Linux

• Experience working in cloud environments such as AWS, Google Cloud or Azure
• Experience with NoSQL databases, such as HBase, Cassandra, MongoDB and good understanding of column based datastore like Redshift

With stringent data security measures and ensuring compliance with regulations, engineers protect sensitive information and maintain customer trust. You will act as a pivot along with product who with their interactions with users and stakeholders, build the platform to accommodate business growth. You will continuously aspire to build and manage Data Platform with focus on scalability, future‑proofing the data systems inline with changing programmatic trends.
