Role Type: People Leader (multi-team / product portfolio)
Reporting to: COO
Role Purpose
As Director - Analytics Products and Solutions you will be the technical leader who owns the end-to-end architecture, solutioning, and delivery of MiQ's local product portfolio. You will partner closely with commercial product leadership to contribute technical feasibility, architectural input, and solutioning expertise, ensuring world‑class engineering practices and leveraging AI accelerators to ship high-quality solutions at speed.
What You’ll Do
- Define local product strategy, roadmap, and ownership boundaries with central product teams.
- Drive prioritised, scalable, high‑impact product development using AI accelerators and frameworks such as RICE, MoSCoW, and Cost of Delay.
- Translate ambiguous business problems into clear product hypotheses, technical problem statements, and prioritised roadmaps.
- Own the full product lifecycle: ideation, proof‑of‑concept, build, launch, adoption tracking, iteration, maintenance, and sunset decisions.
- Make build‑vs‑buy‑vs‑partner decisions, evaluating open-source components and third‑party integrations.
- Partner with Product Management and commercial stakeholders to validate opportunities and translate market needs into technically sound product plans.
- Provide hands‑on technical leadership across solutioning and product architecture.
- Champion DevOps practices: CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, environment management, and release orchestration.
- Own QA and testing frameworks, defining automated testing strategy, coverage standards, and quality gates.
- Drive adoption tracking and instrumentation for every product.
- Lead and coach teams through Scrum ceremonies and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
- Maintain awareness of and evaluate modern data and analytics tooling (Databricks, Spark, Gathr, etc.).
- Ensure products are built with scalability, reliability, and cost‑efficiency in mind.
- Partner with Data Science to productionise models and analytical capabilities.
- Facilitate cross‑functional alignment through product councils, architecture reviews, and sprint demos.
- Communicate complex technical concepts in simple, business‑friendly language to senior stakeholders.
- Represent MiQ in internal and external forums as a senior technical product leader.
- Own compute and tooling budgets, drive optimization initiatives, and manage operational risks.
- Contribute to org‑wide initiatives, including hiring, calibration, promotion frameworks, diversity & inclusion, and capability building.
- Advocate a product‑led mindset across the organisation, championing quality‑first delivery and user‑centricity.
People Leadership, Coaching & Culture
- Lead and grow a high‑performing product and technical team.
- Build leaders who think commercially and can independently drive workstreams.
- Shift team mindset from “delivering requests” to “solving problems at scale.”
- Foster a high‑trust culture emphasizing ownership, craftsmanship, delivery excellence, learning, and autonomy.
- Upskill teams on modern development practices and AI‑powered tooling.
- Support learning and development plans, including opportunities for thought leadership.
Qualifications
- 12+ years in product, platform, or technical leadership roles in data‑heavy environments (adtech/martech preferred).
- Proven experience in defining product strategy and roadmaps, prioritising across competing demands, and scaling products from 0→1 and 1→N.
- Experience working across product, engineering, data science, and commercial teams.
- Comfortable making trade‑offs across scale vs custom, speed vs quality, market vs product.
- Strong understanding of data platforms (Databricks, AWS) and engineering practices (system design, microservices, API design).
- Experience with CI/CD tooling, automated testing frameworks, and deployment orchestration (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform).
- Exposure to modern GenAI techniques and AI‑powered development tools.
- Familiarity with MLOps practices and product analytics tools.
- Strong product thinking, strategic vision, and excellent communication and storytelling skills.
- High ownership, resilience, and a “figure it out” attitude.
- Passion for building diverse, inclusive teams and creating empowering environments.
Technical Skills
- Strong proficiency in Python (and ideally PySpark).
- Strong command of SQL and large‑scale data processing.
- Hands‑on experience with CI/CD tooling, automated testing, and deployment orchestration.
- Familiarity with ML/statistical modelling concepts and MLOps practices.
- Knowledge of product analytics, funnel metrics, and adoption measurement.
Benefits
- A hybrid work environment.
- New hire orientation with job‑specific onboarding and training.
- Internal and global mobility opportunities.
- Competitive healthcare benefits.
- Bonus and performance incentives.
- Generous annual PTO and paid parental leave, with additional paid days for holidays or inclusion initiatives.
- Employee resource groups to connect people across MiQ regions.
