Qualifications

• 4-5 years of experience building and owning backend systems in production.

• Track record of end-to-end feature shipping.
• Strong analytical and design-pattern knowledge for scalable, secure systems.
• Clear communication of trade-offs to non-engineers.

Responsibilities

What you'll do

• Design and build microservices that are reusable, testable, and built to scale - not just to ship on time.
• Turn ambiguous business and product requirements into modular, well-architected systems.
• Own your code from design through production - write it, test it, ship it, and watch how it performs in the real world.
• Catch defects before they become incidents - invest in the tooling, alerting, and test coverage that surfaces problems early.
• Contribute to estimates for your own tasks and projects, and flag risk before it becomes a fire drill.
• Document decisions, trade-offs, and technical debt clearly enough that someone else could pick up your work without you in the room.
• Partner with the wider engineering team to unblock hard technical problems

What we're looking for -

Must-haves

• 4-5 years of experience building and owning backend systems in production
• Strong hands-on experience in Golang, Java, or another language built for concurrency and multithreading.
• Deep, practical knowledge of MongoDB - schema design that mirrors real business logic, not just CRUD operations.
• A track record of shipping and owning features end-to-end, not just closing tickets.
• Sharp analytical instincts - you break a problem down before you start typing code.
• Working knowledge of design patterns and what actually makes a system scalable and secure, not just functional.
• Strong communication - you can explain a technical trade-off to a non-engineer in simple term

Good to have

• Exposure to React, Redux, or other modern frontend stacks.
• Experience in fintech, wealthtech, or another regulated environment.
