Job summary

IMTF Group is seeking a Software Quality Assurance Engineer in Bengaluru to lead automation efforts for web and API testing. The role focuses on building robust automation frameworks, end-to-end test coverage, and continuous improvement within an Agile environment.

You will mentor juniors, optimize CI/CD pipelines, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams. A strong background in Playwright, TypeScript, and REST APIs is essential, along with a proactive ownership mindset.

Qualifications

• 3–7 years of experience in Software Quality Assurance with hands-on automation.
• UI automation for web apps with Playwright (mandatory).
• API automation (REST) using Rest Assured or similar tools.
• Develop automation frameworks from scratch.
• Proficiency in TypeScript.
• Exposure to Docker and Kubernetes from a QA perspective.
• Strong coding, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Team player with interpersonal skills and ownership mindset.

Responsibilities

Tasks & Responsibilities:

• Lead the design, development, and maintenance of automation frameworks for web and API testing
• Automate end‑to‑end, functional test scenarios from scratch, ensuring comprehensive coverage and scalability

• 3–7 years of experience in Software Quality Assurance with strong, hands‑on expertise in automation engineering
• Proven experience in UI automation for web applications with Playwright expertise (mandatory)
• Strong experience in API automation (REST APIs) using Rest Assured or similar tools
• Demonstrated ability to develop automation frameworks from scratch
• Proficiency in TypeScript.
• Exposure to Docker and Kubernetes from a QA/automation perspective
• Strong coding, analytical thinking, and problem‑solving skills
• Team player with strong interpersonal skills, excellent communication and ownership mindset

Preferred Skills:

• Experience working with Linux/UNIX and Windows environments
• Hands‑on experience with databases such as Oracle, SQL, or MongoDB
• Experience using test management and defect tracking tools (Jira, qTest)
• Knowledge of build and deployment tools such as Jenkins and GitHub
