Job summary

IDEMIA is seeking a detail-oriented Software Test Engineer with 1-3 years of experience in manual and automation testing. You will design, execute, and maintain test strategies for web and API-based applications, collaborating with developers, analysts, and stakeholders to ensure quality, reliability, and timely releases.

Responsibilities include creating test data, executing diverse tests, developing automated scripts, and validating APIs.

Qualifications

• Understanding of STLC and SDLC.
• 1–3 years in Manual Testing and Test Case Design.
• Hands-on automation with Selenium WebDriver, Playwright, Cypress or equivalent.
• API testing using Postman or SoapUI.
• Strong SQL and database testing knowledge.
• Experience with defect tracking tools like Jira, Azure DevOps, or QA Center.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control (Git, Azure DevOps, Jenkins).
• Excellent analytical and communication skills; able to work independently or in a team.

Purpose

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Software Test Engineer with 1-3 years of experience in Manual and Automation Testing. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of software applications by designing, executing, and maintaining comprehensive test strategies and test automation frameworks. The role requires close collaboration with developers, business analysts, product owners, and project stakeholders.

Key Missions

Analyze business and functional requirements and prepare test scenarios, test cases, and test data.

Execute functional, integration, regression, system, and user acceptance testing.

Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts for web and API-based applications.

Identify, log, track, and verify defects using defect management tools.

Participate in sprint planning, requirement reviews, and daily Agile ceremonies.

Validate REST/SOAP APIs using tools such as Postman or Swagger.

Collaborate with development teams to troubleshoot and resolve defects.

Ensure test coverage, quality metrics, and timely delivery of releases.

Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes, standards, and best practices.

Required Skills

Technical Skills

• Strong understanding of Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• 1-3 years of experience in Manual Testing and Test Case Design techniques.
• Hands‑on experience with automation tools such as Selenium WebDriver, Playwright, Cypress, or equivalent.
• Knowledge of API testing using Postman, SoapUI, or similar tools.
• Good understanding of SQL and database testing.
• Experience with defect tracking tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or Quality Center.
