Job summary

IRIS RegTech Solutions Limited, formerly IRIS Business Services Limited, is seeking a Senior Application Tester with 4+ years of FinTech testing experience to ensure quality across financial platforms.

You will design test strategies, implement end-to-end testing, and validate complex financial transactions, with strong automation and manual testing skills and solid knowledge of banking protocols and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in testing complex FinTech applications (payments, banking, or related).
• Hands-on API and UI testing with automation focus and strong SQL validation.
• Familiarity with ISO 8583/ISO 20022, PCI-DSS, GDPR, KYC, AML considerations.
• Experience in agile environments, defect tracking, and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Plan test strategy, design reusable test cases, and prioritize testing in an agile setup.
• Execute end-to-end testing across mobile apps, web portals, and core APIs; perform regression testing.
• Develop and maintain automated test scripts for APIs and UI; verify data via SQL queries.
• Validate third-party integrations and participate in sprint events; log and drive defects to closure.

We are looking for a Senior Application Tester with 4+ years of experience to ensure the quality, security, and reliability of our financial platforms. In this role, you will design test strategies, execute end-to-end testing, and validate complex financial transactions. The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of FinTech workflows, banking protocols, and regulatory compliance, combined with strong automation and manual testing skills

Test Planning & Strategy

• Analyze product requirements, product briefs, and technical specifications to create comprehensive test plans.
• Design, write, and execute detailed, reusable test cases for complex financial modules.
• Estimate, prioritize, and plan testing activities in an agile environment.

Execution & Functional Testing

• Perform end-to-end testing of financial applications, including mobile apps, web portals, and core APIs.
• Validate core financial workflows such as ledger accounting, payment processing, settlements, and interest calculations.
• Conduct rigorous regression testing to ensure system stability during frequent deployment cycles.

Technical & Automation Testing

• Develop and maintain automated test scripts for APIs and UI workflows using industry-standard frameworks.
• Perform database testing by writing complex SQL queries to validate data integrity, transaction logs, and financial reporting.
• Validate third-party API integrations, payment gateways, and core banking system connections.

Defect Management & Collaboration

• Log, track, and prioritize defects using tools like Jira, ensuring clear steps to reproduce.
• Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and business analysts to resolve critical issues quickly.
• Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospective meetings.

Required Skills & Qualifications

FinTech Domain Knowledge

• Domain Expertise: Proven experience testing financial applications (e.g., Payments, Digital Wallets, Lending, WealthTech, Core Banking, or Trading platforms).
• Payment Protocols: Familiarity with payment gateways, ISO 8583/ISO 20022 messaging formats, ACH, or SWIFT protocols.
• Compliance & Security: Basic understanding of financial regulations and compliance standards (e.g., PCI-DSS, GDPR, KYC, AML).

Technical Skills

• Testing Tools: Hands-on experience with tools like Postman, SoapUI, JIRA, and Confluence.
• Automation: Proficiency with automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Appium) and programming languages like Java or Python.
• Database & Systems: Strong proficiency in SQL for backend data verification and Unix/Linux command-line basics.
• CI/CD: Experience working with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI) and version control tools (e.g., Git).

Soft Skills

• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail, especially regarding numbers and data flows.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to articulate technical issues.

Preferred Qualifications
