Job summary

Finastra in Pune is seeking a Senior Software Engineer JAVA to design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade applications using core Java and related technologies. The role requires hands-on expertise, mentoring juniors, and delivering scalable solutions within established processes.

The candidate should have 5–8 years of JAVA experience, strong Java/J2EE, Spring, Hibernate, REST/SOAP services, and exposure to microservices and CI/CD.

Qualifications

  • 5–8 years of experience in JAVA programming.
  • Strong hands-on experience in Java, J2EE, and enterprise application development.
  • Solid proficiency in Core Java (Collections, Multithreading, OOP, JVM basics).
  • Experience with Hibernate, JPA, JTA.
  • Good knowledge of Spring Framework; exposure to Spring Boot for microservices.
  • Experience building and consuming REST/SOAP Web Services.
  • Strong understanding of JSON, XML, XSD.
  • Proficient in SQL and relational database concepts.
  • Experience with JMS and MQ messaging systems.
  • Hands-on deployment experience on JBoss EAP / WildFly, WebSphere, WebLogic.
  • Working knowledge of Docker; exposure to Kubernetes/OpenShift is a plus.
  • Understanding of Microservices architecture and distributed systems.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Bamboo).
  • Basic exposure to front-end technologies (JavaScript, AJAX, JSP, Servlets); Angular is nice to have.
  • Payments domain or GPP experience is highly preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of modern software engineering practices and automated testing.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Senior Software Engineer JAVA - TP3 General Profile

The Senior Java Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise‑grade applications using core Java and related technologies. The role requires strong hands‑on expertise, solid understanding of software engineering practices, and the ability to mentor junior engineers. The developer will work within established processes to deliver high‑quality, scalable, and robust software solutions.

Required Skills:
  • TP3 – 5‑8 years of experience in JAVA programming
