Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Senior Software Developer / Senior Web Developer to design, build, and maintain applications in the .Net tech stack from Bengaluru, India, with hybrid work. The role involves working with multiple teams to ensure high quality software across internal and client projects.

Candidates should have 5–7 years of experience in .NET, modern front-end frameworks, REST APIs, and database technologies, along with strong communication skills and a drive to adopt new technologies.

Qualifications

• MCA or BE in Computer Science with 5-7 years of related experience.
• Strong proficiency in .Net Core, ASP.NET MVC
• Strong proficiency in C#, Node.js, Entity Framework Core
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript and JSON
• Proficiency in Angular, React, or Vue.js
• Experience with database systems – SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, NoSQL (MongoDB, etc.)
• Experience with WEB APIs and Web Services, RESTful APIs (both publishing and consuming)
• Good knowledge of microservices technologies – API based component developments
• Good knowledge of design patterns – CQRS, Repository Pattern
• Good knowledge of SOLID principles and Dependency Injection (DI)
• Experience with source control using Git, SVN or similar
• Excellent communication skills

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, modify and evaluate web or desktop applications/modules
• Participate in product/system design, scoping and requirements definition within an Agile/Scrum framework
• Participate in all phases of the SDLC to ensure solutions fulfill the highest possible quality, performance, usability, and supportability criteria
• Conduct code reviews with fellow developers
• Work in a cross‑skilled team consisting of software engineers, construction engineers, and designers
• Collaborate with external development teams and third parties on co‑developed products
• Develop, maintain, and improve databases for various internal and external applications
• Provide technical support for existing developed applications
• Research new technologies and advocate their adoption

As a member of the enterprise capabilities digital solutions hub team, you will work closely with other members of the global digital teams on engineering platforms, applications, support, architecture, and planning for digital solutions to be deployed on projects worldwide.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, modify and evaluate web or desktop applications/modules

Minimum Requirements

• Strong eye for design; experience with HTML/CSS layouts and frameworks
• Good understanding of networking and cloud technologies and experience deploying applications to Microsoft Azure (Azure DevOps, App Services, Azure Pipelines, etc.) or other cloud environments
• Strong sense of ownership, urgency, and initiative
• Experience using serverless technologies and cloud computing (Azure or AWS)
• Strong problem‑solving skills
• Knowledge of code/task management tools – Azure DevOps, Jira
• Good understanding of secure development
