Job summary

AECOM in India is seeking an Assistant Engineer to join our Building Structures team. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated engineer to contribute to impactful building projects across global offices and develop technical expertise in a supportive, high-performing team.

The ideal candidate has a Master of Engineering, 3–6 years Civil experience, and strong communication. The role involves delivering technical solutions, BIM experience, and working in a hybrid location model.

Qualifications

• Master of Engineering degree or equivalent in Civil Engineering or related field.
• 3–6 years of Civil Engineering experience; Middle East/US/UK exposure desirable but not required.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently when needed.

Responsibilities

• Develops technical solutions to complex problems under general direction.
• Contributes to building structures projects across multiple offices.
• Experience with BIM and relevant discipline software for project delivery.
• Applies knowledge of building design services, regulations and standards.
• Receives objectives and defines approaches to solutions with guidance.

Job Description

We are seeking a Assistant Engineer to join our Building Structures team in India. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated engineer to contribute to impactful building projects across global offices and continue developing their technical expertise in a supportive, high-performing team.

• Develops technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems. Works under only general direction. Independently determines and develops approach to solutions.
• Experience in retail and hospitality medium to large projects.
• Experience in UK, UAE, US, Canada, ANZ (preferred).
• Experience in delivering projects in BIM and relevant discipline software.
• Receives instructions on specific assignment objectives, complex features, and possible solutions.
• Should be knowledgeable in building design services, associated regulations and technical standards.
• Capable of working on as own initiative, as an overall responsibility and accountability for assigned work.

Qualifications

• Master of Engineering degree (or equivalent education) in an appropriate engineering discipline from an accredited college or university.
• Applicants must have between 3-6 years of experience in Civil Engineering, Middle East/US/UK experience, which would be desirable but are not essential.
• Good communication skills, and ability to work well independently at times
