Job Title: Senior ServiceNow Developer

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Senior ServiceNow Developer with 6 to 10 years of experience in developing, configuring, customizing, and implementing ServiceNow solutions across multiple modules, including ITSM, ITOM, HRSD, ITAM, SPM, and Integrations. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in ServiceNow platform development, scripting, workflow automation, integrations, and application customization, along with the ability to translate business requirements into scalable and maintainable technical solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, configure, and customize ServiceNow applications and platform components based on business requirements.
• Work across multiple ServiceNow modules, including ITSM, ITOM, HRSD, ITAM, and Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM).
• Develop and maintain ServiceNow solutions using JavaScript, Glide APIs, Business Rules, Client Scripts, Script Includes, UI Policies, UI Actions, and ACLs.
• Configure and enhance Incident, Problem, Change, Request, Knowledge, and Service Catalog processes within ITSM.
• Support ITOM capabilities, including Discovery, Service Mapping, CMDB management, and event management, based on project requirements.
• Configure HRSD functionalities, including HR services, HR case management, employee workflows, and Employee Center.
• Implement ITAM capabilities covering hardware and software asset lifecycle management, asset tracking, and asset-related workflows.
• Develop and configure SPM solutions for demand management, project and portfolio management, resource planning, and related business processes.
• Design, develop, and maintain integrations between ServiceNow and third-party applications using REST APIs, SOAP APIs, IntegrationHub, and MID Server where applicable.
• Configure Flow Designer, Workflow Editor, notifications, approvals, scheduled jobs, and automated business processes.
• Work with ServiceNow tables, forms, views, reports, dashboards, and platform data structures to meet functional and technical requirements.
• Participate in requirement gathering, technical design, development, unit testing, system integration testing, deployment, and production support.
• Troubleshoot platform issues, optimize application performance, and resolve defects while following ServiceNow development best practices.
• Collaborate with business analysts, architects, administrators, QA teams, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Maintain technical documentation, support code reviews, and follow update-set/application deployment practices across development, test, and production environments.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• 610 years of hands-on experience in ServiceNow development, platform customization, and implementation.
• Strong knowledge of the ServiceNow platform architecture, application development, configuration, and administration.
• Hands-on experience in multiple ServiceNow modules, preferably ITSM, ITOM, HRSD, ITAM, and SPM.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript and ServiceNow scripting, including GlideRecord, GlideSystem, GlideAjax, Script Includes, Business Rules, and Client Scripts.
• Experience developing and maintaining REST/SOAP integrations, IntegrationHub spokes, and MID Server-based integrations.
• Knowledge of Flow Designer, Service Catalog, approvals, notifications, and workflow automation.
• Experience working with CMDB, tables, forms, ACLs, roles, and platform security.
• Understanding of ServiceNow application lifecycle management, update sets, source control, testing, and deployment processes.
• Ability to analyze business requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with ServiceNow platform upgrades, release management, and performance optimization.
• Familiarity with ServiceNow Automated Test Framework (ATF), IntegrationHub, and custom application development.
• Exposure to ServiceNow certification credentials such as Certified System Administrator (CSA) and Certified Application Developer (CAD).
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
• Knowledge of ServiceNow platform security, governance, and development best practices.
