Company Description
StrikePath AI is a mission-driven firm focused on turning enterprise AI ambitions into measurable business impact. Operating as one unified team with Mission AI Consulting, the company combines global delivery scale with deep, hands-on enterprise experience.
Role Description
This is a full-time role for a Senior ServiceNow Solutions Architect. You will own the end-to-end technical vision of complex, multi-module and multi-instance ServiceNow engagements, operating with a high degree of autonomy and minimal day-to-day oversight. You will be the senior technical voice with the client: setting platform strategy, assessing the health and technical debt of existing instances, defining solution architecture and integration approach, and guiding delivery teams to scalable, secure, upgrade-safe outcomes. We expect you to be hands-on where it matters, and to lead and mentor where it counts.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and own the end-to-end ServiceNow architecture, translating complex business requirements into scalable, secure, and maintainable solutions.
- Design across multi-module and multi-instance landscapes (ITSM, ITOM, SPM, SecOps, ITAM/HAM/SAM, HRSD, CSM, or others), with a strong command of the CMDB, CSDM, and the platform data model.
- Establish architectural standards, design patterns, and reference architectures for scoped applications, workflows, business rules, UI policies, client scripts, ACLs, notifications, and integrations.
- Make and defend sound build-versus-buy and out-of-the-box-versus-custom decisions, balancing client needs against long-term maintainability.
- Apply ServiceNow's AI platform capabilities, including Now Assist and AI Agent Studio, to design practical Agentic AI use cases for clients.
Integration & Hands-On Technical Leadership
- Define integration architecture across REST/SOAP APIs, Integration Hub, MID Server, and event-driven interfaces, including authentication, error handling, scalability, and API governance.
- Remain hands-on: build proofs of concept, review code and configuration, resolve critical design and performance issues, and set the technical bar for the team using Flow Designer, Glide scripting, and custom logic.
- Oversee testing strategy, guide UAT cycles, and ensure alignment with ServiceNow best practices and platform performance standards.
Platform Strategy & Client Advisory
- Partner with client executives and technical leaders to align platform strategy, roadmap, and instance strategy with organizational goals and licensing realities.
- Lead requirement and architecture workshops, offering both tactical and strategic guidance, and serve as the senior technical point of contact and trusted advisor throughout the engagement.
- Manage client expectations on scope, risk, and trade-offs; raise issues early with clear options and recommendations; and support pre-sales, estimation, and SOW development where needed.
Technical Debt, Governance & Platform Health
- Assess existing instances for technical debt, including customization sprawl, upgrade blockers, data quality issues, and integration fragility. Quantify the impact and deliver a prioritized remediation roadmap.
- Establish and enforce technical governance, design authority, and release management practices.
- Champion platform health, manageability, and upgrade readiness, minimizing technical debt and custom scope creep on every engagement.
Delivery Leadership & Team Enablement
- Own solution delivery across the full project lifecycle, working independently and driving complex work to completion.
- Mentor architects, developers, and technical consultants, and partner with functional consultants, project managers, and stakeholders to ensure successful implementations.
- Develop high-quality architectural documentation including solution blueprints, integration designs, test plans, and deployment guides.
Qualifications
- Experience: 8+ years of hands-on experience on the ServiceNow platform, with a proven record as a lead or principal architect on enterprise implementations.
- Platform Architecture: Deep expertise designing and architecting enterprise ServiceNow solutions across multi-module and multi-instance environments, including CMDB/CSDM, scoped application design, security and ACL models, and performance and upgrade considerations.
- Platform Strategy: Track record of defining platform roadmaps, instance strategy, and governance models that align with business goals and keep the platform healthy as it scales.
- Technical Debt Management: Proven ability to assess an existing platform, identify and quantify technical debt, and lead remediation without disrupting the business.
- Client Management: Strong executive presence and experience managing client relationships, facilitating workshops, setting expectations, and acting as the trusted technical advisor on high-visibility engagements.
- Independence: Self-directed and accountable. You can be placed on a complex project, quickly find your footing, and drive it forward with minimal supervision.
- Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor technical teams and own solution delivery across the full project lifecycle.
- Certifications: Active ServiceNow CSA and CAD certifications, plus 2–4 active ServiceNow CIS (Certified Implementation Specialist) certifications across one or more product areas.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders, up to the executive level.
- Delivery Methods: Experience working in Agile delivery environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- ServiceNow Certified Technical Architect (CTA) strongly preferred. CMA (Certified Master Architect) certification is also highly valued.
- Experience in a consulting or partner firm environment, leading multiple concurrent client engagements.
- Hands-on experience with Now Assist, AI Agent Studio, or other Agentic AI capabilities on the ServiceNow platform.
- Experience leading platform health checks, instance consolidation, or upgrade and migration programs.
