Job Description
- We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Senior Scrum Master to join our team and help us grow in our agile maturity.
- This is a role across Dev/Ops teams within the client internal ICT organization wherein we are responsible for infrastructure and software development.
- You will initially focus on the software development product team.
- As a Senior Scrum Master, you will play a crucial role in guiding and coaching our Scrum teams to deliver high-quality solutions and support other scrum masters.
- You will work closely with Product Owners, DevOps Teams, Release Train Engineer and other stakeholders to ensure the successful implementation of Agile practices and principles within our IT Agile Release Train (SAFe).
- The teams you will become scrum master for will initially be the Pro-code team, ICT Infra Team and Network which focusses on developing full-stack software solutions for internal consumption needs like time writing, project execution and equipment installation guidance at customer sites.
- While the Data Transport team enables data exchange between most applications within the client IT application landscape.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate Scrum ceremonies (Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Planning, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives).
- Coach and mentor Scrum teams to enhance their Agile maturity. The teams are not mature agile wise and not necessarily understand the importance of following certain practices. It is crucial that the Scrum master takes the team along, acts as a mentor explaining the scrum ceremonies and the importance of each when non-adherence is noticed.
- Remove impediments and foster a collaborative environment for the team.
- Work with Product Owners to ensure a clear and prioritized backlog.
- Pickup impediments from cross functional teams and act as a liaison between different Scrum teams.
- Track and report on team progress and performance metrics.
- Promote continuous improvement and help teams to deliver value incrementally.
- Collaborate with other Scrum Masters to improve Agile practices across the organization.
- Challenge the teams where necessary. As a Senior scrum master, be extremely well versed with scrum practices, adapt to what works best for us and modify or remove the WOW that is not suited for the team or the nature of work we do. Inspire less senior scrum masters on their journey to become Agile servant leaders
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Certified SAFe Scrum Master or equivalent certification.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience as a Scrum Master, with at least 3 years in a senior role.
- Understand and implement Agile (SAFe) methodologies and frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, etc.).
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and conflict resolution skills. Leadership skills and mentoring teams is a must to have skill. Proven ability to work effectively with cross-functional and cross-regional teams.
- Proficiency with tools such as Jira for Agile project management.
