Job summary

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of experience as a Scrum Master & Delivery Manager, with at least 2 years in a senior role, preferably in Data & Analytics in retail or e-commerce.
• Bachelor’s degree in CS/BA/Engineering; master’s degree preferred.
• CSM/PSM certification; SAFe Scrum Master or Agile Coach desirable.
• Deep understanding of Scrum, Kanban, and agile best practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration.
• Proven leadership with focus on accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Set up Scrum structure and Jira boards, labeling, swim lanes, estimates, prioritization, and deployment.
• Facilitate daily stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives for multiple teams.
• Coach teams on agile practices and continuous improvement.
• Identify and remove impediments; escalate issues to maintain momentum.
• Collaborate with product owners and stakeholders to align on requirements and timelines.
• Track performance with agile metrics (velocity, burndown, cycle time) and drive improvements.
• Engage with portfolio/PMO and enterprise communications on project status and impact.

Job description

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Delivery lead cum Scrum Master to join our dynamic team and drive our agile practices within the Data & Analytics team. As a Senior Scrum Master, you will play a crucial role in helping the team to deliver high-impact projects that enhance our retail and e-commerce. You will be responsible for guiding multiple scrum teams, ensuring effective agile practices, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. You will work closely with product owners, development teams, technology & leadership to ensure that our Data & Analytics solutions meet business needs and drive operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Scrum Operations: Setting up the Scrum structure including the JIRA boards, labelling, swim lanes, effort estimates, prioritization, performance, documentation management, testing, deployment etc.
• Facilitate Scrum Events: Lead daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives, ensuring teams are aligned and focused on delivering high-quality products.
• Guide Agile Practices: Mentor and coach scrum teams on agile methodologies, fostering a collaborative environment that encourages innovation and continuous improvement.
• Remove Impediments: Identify and resolve obstacles that may hinder the team’s progress, escalating issues when necessary to maintain momentum.
• Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with product owners, business stakeholders, and other teams to understand requirements, manage expectations, and ensure clear communication of project status and timelines.
• Performance Tracking: Monitor team performance using agile metrics and KPIs, such as velocity, burndown charts, and cycle time, to provide insights and drive improvement.
• Improvements: Continuously assess and enhance agile processes and practices within the teams, leveraging feedback and lessons learned to optimize delivery based on the retrospective team’s throughput & operational performance
• Risk Management: Proactively identify potential risks and dependencies, working with the team and stakeholders to mitigate them and ensure successful project delivery.
• Process Management: Define, own and drive the processes for new project intake, incident / breakdowns, small scale upgrades etc. and translating them into scrum operations
• Communications: Lead the engagement, alignment & integration with the larger portfolio & project management office along with enterprise communications about Data & Analytics project statuses, business impact, challenges, risks, dependencies etc. for visibility & transparency
• Miscellaneous: Conducting & coordinating online fun events and celebrating small/big successes/team's accomplishments for enabling greater collaboration among the team members across the globe,
• Sending Newsletters for recognition, celebrating small/big successes/team's accomplishments etc.

Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum of 7-10 years of experience as a Scrum Master & Delivery Manager, with at least 2 years in a senior role, preferably within the Data & Analytics function in retail, or e-commerce domain.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field. A master’s degree is a plus.
• Certifications: Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Professional Scrum Master (PSM). Advanced certifications such as SAFe Scrum Master or Certified Agile Coach are highly desirable.
• Agile Expertise: Deep understanding of agile principles, frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, etc.), and best practices, with a proven track record of successful agile implementations.
• Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all levels.
• Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to identifying issues and implementing solutions.
• Leadership: Proven ability to lead and inspire teams, driving a culture of accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement.
• (Strong plus though not mandatory) Functional understanding: Deep Understanding of Data & Analytics functions particularly within the retail or e-commerce industry.
