Job summary

The Hartford India is seeking an experienced IND Senior Scrum Master to drive agile practices across cloud modernization efforts in our data and AI initiatives. You will harmonize Scrum and Kanban, coach teams, and partner with product owners to keep the backlog well-groomed.

You will facilitate ceremonies, remove impediments, monitor delivery metrics, and mentor junior Scrum Masters while aligning with enterprise standards and budgets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
• Deep understanding of Agile frameworks including Scrum and Kanban.
• Experience in project management, planning, execution, stakeholder coordination, and delivery of complex AI & Data Engineering initiatives within Agile frameworks.
• Experience leading within a Data organization focused on Large-Scale AI/Data & Analytics Cloud Transformation initiatives.
• Experience guiding cross-functional teams, managing dependencies, and aligning outcomes with business objectives and timelines.
• Experience implementing best practices and standards for Agile product development.
• Ability to earn trust while challenging teams to improve in an Agile environment.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong analytical and proactive problem-solving abilities.

Required Skills & Experience

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
• Experience as a Scrum Master with a deep understanding of Agile frameworks, including Scrum and Kanban principles and practices.
• Experience in project management, including planning, execution, stakeholder coordination, and delivery of complex AI & Data Engineering initiatives within Agile frameworks.
• Experience leading within a Data organization focused on implementation of Large-Scale AI and/or Data & Analytics Cloud Transformation initiatives.
• Experience leading initiatives with cross-functional teams, managing dependencies and aligning project outcomes with business objectives & timelines
• Experience implementing best practices and standards related to Agile product development.
• Experience leading others with the ability to earn trust while still challenging the team to improve and operate outside its comfort zone in an Agile environment.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to foster collaboration and alignment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a proactive approach to challenges.
• Demonstrated ability to take hands-on approach and actively contribute to overall team success and achieve goals.
• Financial acumen with ability to understand and manage budgets, track financial metrics and ensure alignment of project deliverables with financial objective.

Nice to Have

• Certification in Agile methodologies, like Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Professional Scrum Master (PSM).
• SAFe certification and Kanban certification are a plus.
