Job summary

Omshri Labs is seeking a highly skilled pharma development professional to lead API intermediate development and scale-up activities. The role involves transforming lab-scale processes into pilot and commercial production, while optimizing yield, purity, and cost.

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize pharmaceutical intermediates from basic and early-stage materials.
• Execute laboratory experiments and troubleshoot reactions on-site.
• Scale processes from lab to pilot and commercial production.
• Optimize yield, purity, cost, robustness, and reproducibility.
• Support technology transfer and execution in production plants.
• Coordinate with partners on ongoing development projects.
• Maintain clear records and development data.
• Identify and resolve issues during development and scale-up.

Role & responsibilities

• Develop and optimize pharmaceutical intermediates from basic and early-stage raw materials


• Execute laboratory experiments and troubleshoot reactions directly at the site


• Take processes from lab scale pilot scale production/commercial scale


• Optimize processes for yield, purity, cost, robustness, and reproducibility


• Support technology transfer and successful execution of processes in the production plant


• Execute ongoing development projects in coordination with the company's technical partners


• Maintain clear experimental records, process documentation, and development data


• Identify and resolve technical issues encountered during development and scale-up

Preferred candidate profile

• M.Sc. in Organic Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, or a related field


• Approximately 7-15 years of relevant industry experience in pharmaceutical intermediate / process development


• Strong hands-on experience in API intermediate development


• Experience in taking products from laboratory development through pilot scale and into commercial production
