Job summary

Hill International, Inc. in Pune is seeking a qualified Quantity Surveyor to handle quantity take-offs for Electrical, Fire Fighting, Plumbing and HVAC on building projects. The role requires proficiency with Cost-X, AutoCAD and related estimation tools.

You will prepare BOQs, assist cost estimation and support tendering, payments, and cost reporting throughout design and construction phases.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Experience in quantity take-offs for Electrical, Fire Fighting, Plumbing and HVAC.
• Proficiency with Cost-X, AutoCAD and other estimation software.
• Strong MS Excel and MS Word skills.

Responsibilities

• Undertake quantity take-offs for Electrical, Fire Fighting, Plumbing and HVAC to standards.
• Use Cost-X and AutoCAD for qty take-offs; compile BOQs and cost plans.
• Draft or validate Bills of Quantities and perform bulk checks.
• Support cost estimation by identifying material and labour rates.
• Assist tendering processes and related documentation.
• Prepare interim payment recommendations and manage change control.
• Contribute to cost reporting, cashflow forecasts and final accounts.
• Apply construction tech knowledge to cost planning tasks.
• Assess cost implications of materials and methods during design and execution.
• Proficient in CAD, Cost-X and MS Excel/Word.

Undertake quantity works for Building projects - Residential, Commercial, Hotel, Hospital, Fitout, Industry / warehouse (depending on project requirement)

Responsibilities

• Undertake quantity take-offs for Electrical, Fire Fighting, Plumbing, HVAC works using applicable standards.
• Use software tools (e.g., Cost X, AutoCAD) for quantity take-off and summarize quantities, transfer data into BOQs or cost plans including carrying out bulk checks.
• Draft or Validate Bills of Quantities including carrying out bulk checks.
• Support cost estimation activities by identifying basic material and labour rates and understanding rate analysis for standard work items.
• Having basic understanding on tendering process and documentation
• Prepare interim payment recommendations, maintain cost control documentation, and manage change control processes.
• Contribute to cost reporting, cashflow forecasting, valuation of variations, tracking of risk allowances, and preparation of final accounts.
• Apply working knowledge of construction technologies and methods in cost planning tasks.
• Assess cost implications of materials, labour and construction methods during design and execution stages.
• Should be good in CAD, Cost-X (qty take off tools) and other quantification / estimation software.
• Good skills on MS excel and word and ability to learn and adapt to customized software
