Job summary

Hill International, Inc. in Gurugram seeks a Civil Quantity Surveyor/Cost Estimator to undertake quantity take-offs and assist cost planning for residential, commercial, and hotel projects.

The role requires experience with IS 1200, familiarity with Cost-X and AutoCAD, strong MS Excel/Word skills, and the ability to prepare interim payments and cost reports. This full-time position is on site in Haryana, India.

Qualifications

• Must have civil engineering degree.
• Experience in quantity take-offs for civil, structural and architectural works.

Responsibilities

• Undertake quantity take-offs for Civil, Structure, Architectural works using IS 1200, POMI or other similar standards.
• Use Cost-X and AutoCAD for quantity take-off and summarize quantities, transfer data into BOQs or cost plans including bulk checks.
• Draft or Validate Bills of Quantities including carrying out bulk checks.
• Support cost estimation activities by identifying basic material and labour rates and understanding rate analysis for standard work items.
• Assist tendering process and documentation.
• Prepare interim payment recommendations, maintain cost control documentation, and manage change control processes.
• Contribute to cost reporting, cashflow forecasting, valuation of variations, tracking of risk allowances, and preparation of final accounts.
• Apply construction tech and methods in cost planning, assess cost implications of materials, labour and methods during design and execution.
• Demonstrate proficiency in CAD, Cost-X, and other quantification/estimation software.
• Strong MS Excel and Word skills and ability to learn customized software.

Undertake quantity works for Building projects - Residential, Commercial, Hotel, Hospital, Fitout, Industry / warehouse (depending on project requirement)

Responsibilities

• Undertake quantity take-offs for Civil, Structure, Architectural works using IS 1200, POMI or other similar standards.
• Use software tools (e.g., Cost X, AutoCAD) for quantity take-off and summarize quantities, transfer data into BOQs or cost plans including carrying out bulk checks.
• Draft or Validate Bills of Quantities including carrying out bulk checks.
• Support cost estimation activities by identifying basic material and labour rates and understanding rate analysis for standard work items.
• Having basic understanding on tendering process and documentation.
• Prepare interim payment recommendations, maintain cost control documentation, and manage change control processes.
• Contribute to cost reporting, cashflow forecasting, valuation of variations, tracking of risk allowances, and preparation of final accounts.
• Apply working knowledge of construction technologies and methods in cost planning tasks. Assess cost implications of materials, labour and construction methods during design and execution stages.
• Should be good in CAD, Cost-X (qty take off tools) and other quantification / estimation software.
• Good skills on MS excel and word and ability to learn and adapt to customized software.
