Job summary

Hill International, Inc. is seeking a pre-contract quantity surveyor to perform take-offs for civil, structure and architectural works. You will use IS 1200, POMI, Cost-X and AutoCAD to prepare BOQs and cost plans, and support tender estimates.

Ideal candidates have 4–6 years of pre-contract experience, strong Excel/Word skills, and excellent communication and presentation abilities. This on-site role is based in Mumbai.

Qualifications

• 4–6 years of pre-contract experience in building projects.
• B.Tech in Civil Engineering from a reputed institute.
• Proficient with IS 1200, POMI and quantity estimation standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepare quantity take-offs for civil, structure, and architectural works.
• Use Cost-X and AutoCAD to summarize quantities and prepare BOQs.
• Draft or validate Bills of Quantities and perform bulk checks.

Pre Contract Experience to undertake quantity take-offs for Civil, Structure, Architectural building works.

Responsibilities

• Undertake quantity take-offs for Civil, Structure, Architectural works using IS 1200, POMI or other similar standards. Use software tools (e.g., Cost X, AutoCAD) for quantity take-off and summarize quantities, transfer data into BOQs or cost plans including carrying out bulk checks. Draft or Validate Bills of Quantities including carrying out bulk checks.
• Prepare cost plans at different design stages including Concept, Schematic, and Design Development. Analyse and adjust unit rates, price BOQ items, support value engineering exercises, collect market quotations, and assist in tender estimates and cost plan reporting.
• Support pre-contract activities by understanding key contract terms and post contract work process flow.
• Having basic knowledge of key building components and construction methods in construction related to Civil works
• Should be good in CAD, Cost-X (qty take off tools) and other quantification / estimation software.
• Good skills on MS excel and word and ability to learn and adapt to customized software
• Very Good communication skills both written and verbal.
• Very Good Interpersonal and presentation Skills.

Qualifications

• B. Tech (Civil) from a reputed institute.
• Required 4 - 6 years of Pre Contract experience in Building Projects.
